Chuck with Main St. Bakery made the cake for our wedding. The cake was delicious, but unfortunately was not made to how we had specified on the worksheet he had us fill out at our cake tasting. The cake was meant to be two tiers with spice cake with cinnamon icing on the top, smaller tier, and a marble cake with plain buttercream icing on the bottom. The cake we received the day of was flipped with spice cake on the bottom and marble cake on top with only cinnamon icing throughout. The cake was also very crumbly. When the caterer tried serving it, the cake slices looked as if someone had already picked through it. If you choose to have your cake made here I’d recommend confirming the order prior to the day of the event.

Quaint bakery in Luray. We came in on a Friday morning and the selection seemed a little limited but we're used to bakeries with dozens of baked goods options. I left with a ginger snap cookie and a sweet potato, pecan, and chocolate chip muffin. Both were delicious and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try other baked goods. The baker, possibly the owner, was very friendly. Whoever was working the register could not have been less enthusiastic and welcoming though.

Lovely spot for a light breakfast. The fresh, mixed berry muffins were so good, we bought several (also scones) to bring to friends. Broccoli cheese quiche was delicious. Coffee was high-quality. We enjoyed a nice chat with the baker.

We stayed in Luray for 3 days and had breakfast here for all three days. We had wonderful conversations with the baker and delicious homemade sweet and savory food. They even opened early for us to get some breakfast. All the food is made from scratch right in the bakery and you are able to taste that. Thanks for your work we really appreciated it. I would rate this a zero… Ordered a Birthday Cake and a graduation cake over a month ago. Go today to pick up at 9am and was told… “I don’t have your order”… what do you mean you don’t have our order. Basically to bad to sad rude behavior from the guy working. He did not even offer to make it right until after my brother in law called back in. Life right things happen but the rude, not want to help attitude, on a mistake made on your end, was not customer service driven at all.

This is a true Bakery, not some commercial money making Starbucks or Panera. The people care and are not that fake corporate kind. Food is amazing, and custom orders are available! We are getting our wedding cake from here!

My husband and I stopped at Main Street Bakery to appease my sweet tooth. I made a great choice! We ordered a cherry galette, lemon poppy seed cupcake and an African honey loaf to take home. It was the best galette I’ve ever had. The cupcake icing was fresh and perfectly smooth. Im still snacking on the loaf (carbs I don’t need) but it’s too good not to. 100% recommend and can’t wait to visit again!

Ordered a surprise cake for my husband’s birthday and it came out perfectly! I chose the 9” cake with red velvet throughout, a crumb coating for the sides, with white buttercream icing and some red velvet crumbles on top. Needless to say, they brought my vision to life!Despite coming from out of town and not being able to pick up at the original time, they were incredibly understanding and allowed me to pick up the following morning shortly after opening.I cannot say enough good things about this place. I entirely recommend stopping by for their quiche, pastries, or loaves as well!
