We came late, and the guy running the place still came out to let us do a tasting. He was super nice and incredibly helpful. The moonshine was the best I've had: drinkable, delicious, and not too hot. The owner was incredibly accommodating to our bachelor's party and we can't thank him enough!

I went here with my friends for a bachelor party. Not only was the options of bourbons, whiskey’s, and moonshine’s delicious, but also the owner was amazing. He accommodated my party well above standard. He was genuinely one of the nicest and friendliest people I have met in a long time. Would highly recommend!!!

BEAUTIFUL. Yes, if you are thinking about discovering a hidden gem... This is your place. My family and I arrived today after visiting the caverns on vacation and were met with warm hospitality. My wife and i sampled their wines and bought a bottle. Afterwards we were invited to walk along their farm and met some nice horses that were quite friendly. The owners were kind and very informative... felt like old friends. The grounds beautiful. The kids and the wife (and I) loved it.

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon. Nice family distillery and winery off the beaten path. Tasty selection of unique sweet fruit wines and distilled spirits. Their bourbon and peach moonshine were both very good and all the wines are made with 100 percent fruit and are very good.

Very friendly couple run the place. I love their rye whiskey. The corn moonshine tastes like moonshine should. The bourbon is an easy drink. They also have a selection of country wines that changes depending on what is in season.

The hospitality at River Hill Distillery was amazing! A group of us came to Stanley for the weekend and numerous people told us to check this place out, so we did and I am extremely happy we did! From the wine, the bourbon, whiskey and moonshine they were all amazing! After we did our tasting the gentleman gave us a tour of the back of the house and explained the process of making everything! I will 10/10 come back and would recommend it to ANYONE! Make sure you try the Hillbilly Margarita. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
