My only regret was not finding this sooner. The curse of a hiking trip is you often need breakfast and coffee and dinner and beer. So this was closed or closing most of the time we might need it. Finally on our last day on Luray we had a down day. Inside is a deli lunch spot with the menu on the ceiling and specials on the wall, “check means it’s a ‘go’.” Outside is a lawn bar with several taps across the beer and cider spectrum and plenty of cans.We ordered food to go inside and drank a pint while waiting got it. They brought the order outside. There is a stage outside and live music on Friday unfortunately we won’t be around to enjoy it. Cheers ?

Miss grabbing a snack from there on my way to work. Will always make it a mission to stop by for a bite and brew whenever I'm back home for a visit from Vermont ??

Visited the Luray Caverns and we were looking for a place for lunch after. Great find. Order inside (Reuben pictured full of corned beef), potato salad, Maryland Crab soup all outstanding. Beer and wine from the outside stand.

This deli in an old store front was very well laid out. Not much indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating. Their food was really good but no pricing listed anywhere. There were 2 couples and my daughter and granddaughter and each pair paid over $40 for 2 sandwiches, sides, & drinks. My wife even had a half sandwich and soup and still paid over $15 for just her's. The soup was broccoli, potato soup but was blended into a puree, taste was OK, but not very palatable. I got a medium side of Mediterranean pasta salad that was VERY GOOD and plenty to satisfy a big eater especially with a sandwich. I got the roast beef and blue cheese sub/ hoagie. It was very good and had a great flavor. Not really any combo meals which would draw in more customers, in my opinion. My brother in law got the Cuban panini sandwich and said he's gotten a better sandwich at their local gas station deli. They do have a good selection of drinks to choose from. If you don't mind paying higher prices for a simple sandwich then you'll be OK with this place. I can't say I'd go out of my way to go back and I really wouldn't recommend it to friends and family.

OVERPRICED & MEDIOCRE!! i went a few weeks back and was appalled by the prices. None of the prices are listed which is really odd for a sandwich shop in rural VA. Spent close to $60 just for two sandwiches with drinks, food was very mediocre. It just pains me to see how they've become SO greedy over the years. This was my 3rd time going and it's just gotten more expensive :( will not be coming back here. I advise if you wanna spend that much, to go to an actual restaurant that has seating.

After a hard day of Hiking in the cold February weather. We decided to try this deli that seemed very popular. The first thing that threw us off once they were no prices on the food listed on the board. When we asked the cashier said the sandwiches vary between $15 and $17. I’m thinking wow that is really expensive for a sandwich. People all around us are devouring their sandwiches in silence and with gusto. I’m thinking it must be worth it. Btw there is very limited seating indoors. No tables maybe counter space for 8 r tops. So essentially you are paying what I consider astronomical Prices for sandwiches. I ordered a Portabella Sandwich and my wife ordered a club sandwich. I have no idea how much the portobello or the club were since there were no prices listed. We also bought a large bag of chips. After taxes and tip with no drinks and sitting In the cold the total for our lunch was $40. The sandwich came with no sides and was relatively small. I was just as hungry when I left as I was when I got there. I am baffled that this place is able to sell small Sandwiches and a tract, so many different people. I am still confused as to why anybody would go back to a place that overcharges for sandwiches has nowhere to sit sit and gives you a such a small amount of food. I am also baffled that Tree advisory labels this place with one $ that Is misleading.Vegetarian options: Sandwiches are small and expensive not worth it

Absolutely delicious! Fresh and expertly prepared everytime. I don’t know where they source all their ingredients, but I’m happy they do!The atmosphere is so charming and relaxing. The beer garden is beautiful for warmer times. The soups and sandwiches will keep you warm in winter. The staff is always so nice and accommodating, even when they are so busy everything spinning! You owe it to yourself to experience the food here! Get the steak and cheese, you’re welcome. I’d add a picture, but I ate it too quick!
