Was having a pretty rocky day and saw the cute and kitschy solor-powered figurines lining the windows of Mary Janes...there were so many, I thought they must have them for sale. I wanted something to drink, so I wandered in. Immediately, I could see their inside shelves were lined with beer bottles, cans and taps. Several people said hello. Stumbled upon this bar while visiting Lynchburg. It is and has be located across from the train station for 50 years. Mary Jane, the owner, welcomed us with open ands and gladly satisfied our thirst for a cold beverage. As far as atmosphere this place is full of character. From the sun dancers in the front windows to the hundreds of taps that line the bar to the hundreds of pictures of endless good times been had there. This place is the best bar in VA.
