Eating the cinnamon roll for the first time was a spiritual experience. I’ve never had a cinnamon roll that good. I can’t wait to go back! Mrs. Joy is a delight as well, and it’s such a cute store. I can’t recommend this place enough

Stopped by Mrs. Joy's Absolutely Fabulous Treats and honestly… the name fits perfectly because everything was absolutely fabulous. From the moment we walked through the door, the smell of fresh baked treats hit us right in the face in the best possible way. The entire bakery smelled incredible and instantly made us want to try everything.

The staff was so friendly, kind, and helpful. You could immediately tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do.

We tried the macaroons, donuts, gigantic cinnamon rolls, and the Butterfinger sticks, and every single bite had us looking at each other saying, “Oh my gosh.” Everything was fresh, rich, flavorful, and homemade perfection. Those cinnamon rolls alone are worth the trip.

If you’re anywhere near Lynchburg and love baked goods, this place is an absolute must-stop. One of the best bakery experiences we’ve had in a long time!

I have been wanting an excuse to try this place, and Biscoff Cinnamon Rolls was the perfect reason!!!!

They were big, fluffy & moist! I warmed them up when I got home.. absolutely delicious 🤤 The best cinnamon roll I have had in a long time!!!
Also a great price for a cinnamon roll so big and high quality!

The apple fritter was nice & fresh as well! 🫶

I look forward to trying more sweet treats from here!

Such a lovely space to sit and relax & enjoy a vibe! More importantly the owner is so nice & actually engages in conversation and wants to talk instead of pushing you to buy something! Love the hospitality. And oh btw the pastries are 12/10. Love to support a locally owners black business!

Our family recently visited Mrs. Joy's Absolutely Fabulous Treats and what an absolute treat it was. We had only planned to order and go and ended up staying for an hour plus! The shop itself is beautiful: thoughtfully and beautifully designed, warm, inviting, and with lots of space and seating for a bakery. What I especially love is that this space can accommodate families, couples, or single folks just looking to vibe. There are toys and games that kept my young children comfortable and entertained the whole time, yet it’s so pretty I want to come back on my own and get some quiet writing done. Mrs. Joyner herself is lovely, vibrant, and definitely lives up to her name. We are new to the area and Mrs. Joyner made us feel so welcome. And of course, the treats were delicious! You can tell Mrs. Joyner and her family have poured their hearts and soul into everything they’ve created. I highly recommend this place and hope this little Lynchburg gem stays open for years to come.

They consistently have delicious desserts and pastries, and even did a last minute pie for me on Thanksgiving! Great business, fantastic sweets, and a lovely atmosphere. My only complaint is the fact that they are closed for half of the week.

Went to this bakery Wednesday. Hours listed on door said it opened at 11 a.m. We waited until 11:15 and no one had come to open up. We went to eat at a nearby restaurant and returned at noon. The bakery still had not opened. Another couple stopped and also tried to get in and realized the door was locked. A waiter at the restaurant mentioned he thought business had fallen off a bit at the bakery. I’m not surprised if she can’t even open the business at the posted hours! I’ll just take my business to Montana Plains.

I’m only one bite in to my peaches and cream donut so far and my life has already been changed for the better 😭🙌🏾❤️ everyone working is so kind, the place feels homey and is beautifully decorated as well. Don’t miss this spot if you’re in town.

Simply the best bakery around, with happy, friendly owners who are good people! (Don't be fooled by the name - Mr. Joy is involved too, and he's also fun to talk to when you're there). The doughnuts are even better than the ones at Bill's Pastry Shop used to be (IYKYK)! Killer cookies, excellent shortbread, delicious caramels, the list goes on and on. I've never been here before, but have always wanted to come here especially after watching her compete on Crime Scene Kitchen and other reality cooking competitions and shows. Friday was finally the day! I should also mention that my siblings have came here before since the earlier days and their would almost never be anything left to try out of what they brought back home. I purchased 3 cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal cran walnut, and apple walnut), 3 cupcakes (lemon, vanilla, and coconut), a creme puff, and a cinnamon roll and 2 of the cookies didn't make it bake to the car. THEY WERE THAT GOOD! I am going to eat the cinnamon bun for breakfast tomorrow. Finished the last cookie before days end. Cupcakes will be dessert tomorrow too! I will be returning here.
