A holy experience. I’m vegetarian and cannot speak for the entire awesome looking menu, but the egg and cheese -perfection. I was not expecting the level of awe inducement. The biscuits are buttery and fluffy, yet perfectly crisp and flavorful. Best egg and cheese I’ve had.

Genuinely the best chicken biscuits we have ever had! We got the Nashville hot and the Pimento cheese to which I added bacon. Every element was cooked perfectly. The biscuits were flaky and flavorful yet sturdy enough to hold up a generous piece of perfectly fried chicken that was juicy and perfectly seasoned, not too greasy. The bacon was cooked to a perfect melt in your mouth crisp. The Nashville was a good level of spicy and the coleslaw was crisp and a perfect contrast. I can’t wait to come back again. Don’t miss this place!

This place was amazing! I start by saying I've had great biscuit before. Biscuits from up and down the eastern coast. This place was absolutely superb! We were visiting the area from North Carolina.
We ordered the chicken biscuit add egg and cheese. With a side of hashbrowns! Everything was cooked well not over seasoned like some places and the unique square biscuit was so unique!
The atmosphere felt both rustic/welcoming! Loved the classic signs and the bones of the building. I think the atmosphere combined with stellar customer service, and a quality biscuit will make us repeat customers when we come back to Lynchburg, VA.
Think it's neat they use pieces of the biscuit cuts, as a bit of an appetizer with a side syrup! If you are in the Lynchburg, NC area give this place a try!

We tried the Square Biscuit Company on Fifth Street today and were blown away by the whole experience. The food was amazing and my husband declared that it was a”perfectly cooked over easy egg”. The country ham and red eye gravy was tender and tasty. But maybe my favorite part was staff! Everyone was so friendly. Chef April and Chef Ivy both came out and shared a few secrets of their recipes. And yes, they are both trained chefs! Please go and try this business.

My wife and I went there for the first time today and were not disappointed. She ordered the Croque Madame and I ordered the sausage gravy biscuit and we both had hash browns. The flavor did not disappoint, no bland food here! The food was also hot and the service and cleanliness impeccable. We will def be back!

Amazing biscuits, even better staff. The Nashville hot chicken biscuit is unreal—easily one of the best fried chicken dishes I’ve ever had. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go.
Absolutely delicious food! The biscuits are buttery and hearty, without being too heavy. The hash browns are crunchy and not oily, which is sooo great. My husband got the biscuits and sausage gravy, and loved it, and I got the croque madame which was delicious. Then we shared a bacon and egg biscuit because we were curious, and loved that as well! The staff is friendly, and the food is great. Support the local business!

Delicious breakfast sandwiches! The biscuits have the perfect combination of density and crisp without being dry. They have a nice selection of classics and specialties. The staff were very friendly, chatting me up while I waited. Spending local is the way

I went a few minutes after 9am on a Thursday and there was no crowd at all. This was my first visit and I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit for $7. This was the best biscuit I've ever had in Lynchburg!! The price was very reasonable considering the size and quality of the biscuit and toppings. The bacon was plentiful and crispy, it was a real fried egg, and the biscuit itself was buttery, had a good crisp outside and tender inside, and was a great flavor overall. The biscuit was moist, held together well, and was not dry or crumbly in the least. I read a review before going in about the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit being too sweet so I was a little concerned. I did not experience any sweetness in the biscuit and the bacon does not taste like it has a sugar cure. The service was quick and friendly. There was plenty of seating and it felt roomy, well lit, and the large windows up front provided natural lighting. It was also really clean inside. The parking was plentiful as there are a few spots directly in front on the street, side street directly beside the building, and then much more parking in the rear with a very short and flat walk to the front entrance of the restaurant. I highly recommend this place!!
Update:
I went on Friday morning about 7:30 and it was really easy to get in and out of, as there was no crowd and very little traffic. I was able to park directly in front of the building without any issue. The service was quick and friendly again, I waited for about 5 minutes or less for my to-go order. I ordered the pimento cheese hot honey chicken biscuit so they cooked the chicken fresh. The biscuit was the same as the previous visit with a flaky buttery crust and a moist and tender inside without it being doughy or crumbly. The chicken was lightly-breaded and crispy while the inside was really tender and juicy. It was a thick and large piece of chicken that extended beyond the edges of the biscuit. There was a generous portion of pimento cheese and it was very complimentary, not overpowering at all unlike some other sandwiches and biscuits I've had from other places. The hot honey added a little sweetness, but it was very light so it wasn't too sweet. If you enjoy honey on a biscuit, you may want to ask for extra. Being someone who never orders hot honey I was expecting it to be a bit spicy, but it was very mild and I think that anyone who is sensitive to spicy hot foods can easily handle it and enjoy. While I typically eat an early breakfast every morning, I will say that this biscuit was a bit much and very filling. I could only eat about half and had to save the rest for later. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth!
Squared Biscuit Co. is a must!! It is one of the best breakfast places in the Lynchburg area!
The only thing I am disappointed with is there are apparently other food items they have that are not listed anywhere on the menus or otherwise, not online nor in the restaurant. This morning I watched them making some of the things and I've noticed several pictures with other people posting them in reviews, but I don't know what they items are or how much they are. Maybe you have to ask what else they have available that isn't posted anywhere.
