My wife and I were amazed with the quality of the food at The Dahlia. I had one of the seafood specials, Wahoo with mango sauce. I’d never had the fish before and it was perfectly prepared and flaky, no greasiness or fishy taste. We shared the sweet potato fries which were crisp and well seasoned. We also had mashed potatoes that would meet anyone’s grandmother’s standards. My wife had shrimp and grits which can easily be ruined but these were great....
The Dahlia has long been a steady favorite of ours in the 'burg. Love the drinks, food, and wonderful staff. And it's one of the few places where you can show up in work boots or dressed to the nines and fit right in either way.
Met a group here for brunch since it was the recommended spot, and I’m glad we did! It was my first visit, and everything we ordered was delicious, from the French toast and made-to-order omelets to the Eggs Surry loaded with crab, bacon, eggs, and hollandaise. The cheese grits were also excellent. Great food, generous portions, and I’d definitely come back!
