Jim has the best BBQ and he is happy to give indecisive guests, like me, a good recommendation! Great atmosphere to catch a conversation with friends. I visited last Friday and enjoyed hearing the guys next to me talk about tractors ... a good education! Old school and comfortable, and, best of all, consistently great food. His BBQ is great to serve a crowd, too!
I'm from Lynchburg, and get back there 3 or 4 times a year. I've always loved it and the red slaw. The pig tail hushpuppies are a must, they're crispy , you'll never get home with all of em, so depending on how many you're feeding, think of 2 bags. Pork BBQ is one of favorites, and Silver Pig never disappoints.i Always carry
This barbecue takes me back home to North Carolina for sure! I had a great conversation with the owner. He is a one man band, The best BBQ and slaw I have found in the area! The food is worth it all.
