“Be sure you have lots of time if u visit Al Ryan's as he makes everything fresh. The food was wonderful and u can tell it has been prepared just for you. Al gave me some Curry to sample and it was amazing. wonderful spice pallet. the lamb used in the dishes was prepared perfectly. It was moist and savory just like I remember it in New York. Al is a wonderful guy and deserves your business.“

“Second review after ownership change.. The best dish hands down was the fish and chips... since new ownership has taken over the portion of fish is much smaller. The quality seems to be less, but overall, okay. This used to be our go to place to treat out of town family.. but not anymore.“

“Charley’s catered our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner and everything was spectacular! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff that served were so attentive and working with Kendrick was so easy. I can’t recommend them enough. Five stars for sure!!!“

“We are in Shipman. We did a search for diners in our area and ran across Edith’s. We gave it a try and the food was good and so was the service. Nice folks who check on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. We had no idea they even existed. Just off 29 in Amherst. Stop in and see for yourself!“

“Shockingly great for an Applebee's. The best one i have ever gone too. Clean atomosphere. The food came out well. Great for an Applebee's. I'm not a big fan of the chain but it was the best one yet. The staff are friendly knowledgeable and on top of things. We had somw steaks and they were all cooked exactly as they should be which I've never had happen at an Applebee's.“

“Really great idea to have a little express coffee shed! Love the ease of access for drive through. I got a vanilla latte w/ oat milk (just ok; kinda bland) & chocolate covered espresso beans (ahhhmazing).
Would return but would try another sweeter/more flavored coffee! Only other idea for improvement would be to modernize/ update the shed to make it look a little more appealing to customers.
Parking: 2 drive through lanes so no need to park. Nearby parking is ample & available but not a dine-in restaurant it appears.“

“Good service when dining in, and very fast when ordering to-go. If you don't in on a weeknight you may be pleasantly surprised at just how quickly you get your food, but on the weekends expect a regular wait time. For something a little more authentic, try the Chilaquiles (spicy) or the Tacos Al Pastor with Horchata as your drink! The fajitas are really good, and enough food for one parent to share with two little kids as long as you ask for more tortillas.“

“Hidden gem. The food is amazing and the price is hard to beat in Lynchburg. Highly recommend. Just don't expect fast service. The wait is worth it though. Very litter filler with minimal rice and beans and actual sides to go with your meal on most orders. Absolutely amazing when most places give you a ton of rice and beans and small portion of your main dish.“

“My experience at Shoemakers was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I knew that I was in for a treat. From the charming ambiance to the attentive service to the most amazing culinary experience. The duck confit was delicious! Every bite was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It was the best that I've ever had, And the Belgium chocolate mousse was incredible, rich and creamy, yet light and delicious. Shoemakers exceeded all my expectations, it's not often that you find a place where every element comes together so perfectly. I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family.“

Couldn't ask for a more pleasant visit and quite honestly I'm not even mad that the order got messed up. Thanks to Yolanda. Y'all need to give her a raise.!“

“I'm not even kidding when I say this is the best experience I've ever had in a restaurant! And I've eaten at a lot! This was the Chili's in Lynchburg, Virginia. I cannot tell you how pleasant it was to dine alone and have such fine service from Wanda! She literally was meeting my every need before I ever even asked. I literally just thought it, and a refill showed up. I just thought how nice it would be to have a box for my leftovers, and here it comes. The thought flitted through my mind how great it would be to take some chips and salsa home and she literally walked out of the kitchen with an extra bag and a to go of Diet Coke that I hadn't even asked for, but I had thought of. She was stellar and I gave her a 200% tip! I've already texted all of my friends in town and told them this is where we're eating next time we go out, and I'm bringing my sons back next week for dinner one night. I'm going to ask for Wanda! Aside from the stellar service, the food was incredible! I don't think I've ever seen a burger this big! It was so much food, I took half of it home and will eat it for supper. And if you consider it two meals, it's literally cheaper than fast food. Wow! What a fantastic experience, and I WILL be back!“
