Best German style restaurant in Virginia. Very authentic meals and extremely attentive waitstaff. They are helpful in explaining the various dishes and sides. The portions are generous and delicious. But wait until you see the dessert tray.Very quaint interior and bar with German Beers. Place is more than popular, so my tip is you NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS.

Great place, great food. My only complaint was the music playing. It reminded me of the time I went to a great Mexican restaurant, and all they played was salsa music, in this case it was German something.

We've been looking forward to visiting for quite some time. The place has the feel of Germany but needs some repair to the walls, ceiling, etc. I had a special, pork shank, it was amazing!! My wife had Sauerbratten. It was tasty but a bit tough. The serving sizes were large. We had German Chocolate cake for desert. It was delicious! I'm looking for to another visit to dig deeper into their menu.

Definitely exceeded expectations!! if you love German food, this is the place to go. Authentic and DELICIOUS. We are not from the area, but will certainly be planning a special trip back in the future to make sure we eat here again.

The bavarian chef is always soooo good love this place. I go there after i hike so i dont always "look the part" but they dont care and give great service and amazing schnitzel!

Obviously not a fan. I've had exceptional schnitzel in Germany and here in the states. This schnitzel was very disappointing. I had the Jaeger. It was the toughest piece I've ever been served. My wife had the wiener schnitzel, and hers was more tender, but still not great. The sauces on both were uninteresting and lacked flavor. The sides were also disappointing. The best part of the meal was the garnish on both plates. These were flavorful and crisp. The table we had was tiny and cramped.

Wonderful food, large portions, I didn't see a single group leave without to go boxes. I was expecting a traditional German beer hall style but it was more fine dining style. I had braised pork shank and my wife had the half duck. It was all delicious.
