My husband and I have been dining at the Bavarian Chef for nearly 25 years and have never been disappointed! Food and service are both SUPERB! I say this as a picky eater…and we drive nearly three hours to get there at least a couple times every year! We had dinner today, 2/15/2025 and discovered something we hadn’t known - its opening anniversary is on my birthday, which makes it even more special to us. I understand that a book was published some years ago, and I am determined...

Fun theming and atmosphere, and a good restaurant over all! Sides and entrees were delicious. The portion sizes were ENORMOUS: none of us finished our entrees, and we had leftovers for days. I cannot overstate how big the portions are. We called ahead and got the baked Alaska, and unfortunately that's what is keeping this from five stars - it was really quite bad. The marshmallow/meringue layer was sickly sweet, the cake was bland and dense, and the ice cream was flavorless....

The food is amazing here. I'm a celiac and it's hard to find gluten free German food. About half of the menu is. The pretzels looked amazing. Wish I could have tried them!

The wait staff is attentive and the gentleman that artistically sets the table like he's in the circus was fun to watch.
