The building seems very authentic, but they really overbooked for Thanksgiving Day.\nWonderful waiter, good beer. Actually we ordered German food rather than the $49 Turkey feast. The scheitzel portions were huge and very fried with little meat inside.\nHowever, the family-style vegetables were excellent from red cabbage, to snow peas, to German potato salad, to corn, to green beans. I would have loved just a vegetable plate, but that was not an option. Dark bread was tasty, but...
We ate at the Bavarian Chef tonight after spending the day in Skyline Drive. The food and service were both excellent. We will certainly go back despite the hour long drive to get there. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great service! We had the trout…it was lovely and delicate with a savory almond topping. The creamed corn, green beans, and zucchini were all very tasty! Get the German Chocolate cake! Glad we stopped! I’ll stop again if only for the cake!
