Akasaka Sushi & Japanese Steak House

It was nice, the service was good, prompt and attentive. The food was fresh and well prepared. The only downside for us were some of the flavors, it was all a little too sweet for us. We've had hibachi at other places which were less sweet so we were a bit disappointed by the sweetness. So not to my taste, but overall it was a nice dinner at a nice place.

Exceptional food and experience!

1. Walk in and are seated with no menus
2. Tea was spoiled
3. Soup was not specified on menu, so we did not get the soup we wanted
4. The menu was not descriptive
5. Prices are outrageous for the amount of food served ($38 for a SMALL plate of rice steak and 3 scallops with veggies)
6. Sushi was adequate
7. Drinks totaled was $18 (three sodas, one tea)
8. Shrimp sauce tasted like liquified shrimp and spoiled milk

The list goes on. Don’t waste your precious time and money at Akasaka in Manassas, Virginia. A family of four (us) could’ve have bought McDonald’s at least 6 times for what we paid here ($140). Do better.

Found a gnat in my soup 🤮 disgusting and then when I reported it, the manager had the nerve to “try and insult my intelligence by saying it was a piece of pepper. Never seen pepper 🦟 with wings. Will not return not clean

This is my favorite hibachi in the area. I'm very particular about the yum-yum sauce and this is the only place near me that I like! It makes the meal imo lol. Very good service and delicious food.

I recently placed an online order from your restaurant and picked up the food to take home. Upon opening the package, I noticed a very bad smell and found the food to be in extremely poor and unhygienic condition.

I immediately contacted the store to report the issue, but I was told to bring the food back at 10 PM, which is not a reasonable or convenient solution.

This experience was very disappointing, and I will not be recommending your restaurant to others. I am requesting a full refund for the order due to the unacceptable quality and hygiene of the food.

Please take this matter seriously and process my refund as soon as possible.

Very good service! I went this past Sunday the young man who makes the sushi is very clean and polite and attentive. The place is very nice and clean which is very important. The waiter who served me, I remember his name was Antony and he did an excellent job. I recommend going to this place if you are looking for delicious sushi!

I took my son to dinner to celebrate his birthday ? ? and it was a total success thanks to the amazing and friendly staff! The sushi chef greeted us with tremendous sweetness, she make sure we felt welcome as it was our first time at this restaurant, they came at the end and sang Happy Birthday, it was truly fun experience. The food was delicious, sushi was incredible tasty. Thank you for your hospitality!!! ?

The best sushi I’ve had in Northern VA. To the woman who has always been so nice to us when we come in— thank you! You do an incredible job and all of your staff has always been great. Highly recommend this business to everyone. We love the Dynamite and Fire Ninja roll the most.

unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the ambience of the restaurant is lovely and the service was excellent, the sushi itself did not meet my expectations. The quality of the fish was not up to par, and the rolls lacked the freshness and flavor I anticipated. It's a shame because the atmosphere and staff are great, but the main attraction—the sushi—was very underwhelming. I hope they can improve the quality of their sushi to match the rest of their dining experience.
