Very friendly tavern, I told Katrina it Reminded me of Cheers bar On TV. I had the French dip sandwich. She asked if I wanted horseradish and I said, of course that made the sandwich perfect.

We recently dined in and the food was excellent including dessert. The wait staff was also very friendly, quick, and helpful. So just on that note recommend a visit.

What I found odd is the use of space, it’s almost like they don’t want you dining in there, it’s only four tables. A tavern typically has dining and drinking areas. This one did not. Also the dining area is not wheelchair accessible due to the step up.

Stopped into City Tavern after the Manassas St. Patrick’s Day parade and it was a great call. Since it was a little off the main parade path, it was busy enough to feel lively but not packed, which made it easy to get seated. Donald took care of us almost right away, and the service stayed friendly and attentive the whole time.
