Its a great bar just like youd find in south Philly, it comes complete with the esthetics of a hole in the wall bar in downtown Philadelphia. Rocky posters and Liberty Bell photos along with being owned by genuine Philadelphians. The only downside is it is a small bar and needs some outside seating too. Otherwise its a great bar in a great little location in downtown Manassas.
The Philadelphia Tavern was busy as it was one of the Friday nights where Manassas closes off the streets for a block party. Ordered the Hot Pastrami on Rye with fries, real good flavor and the fries were seasoned. Had a Bourbon and coke to drink.
Yuengling beer and the Philly cheese steaks are also added.

Cheesesteak is one of the best. Extra white American cheese add some salt and your good to go. My next trip I will order extra meat.
You want something that wont leave your chest with that tight feeling then this is the cheesesteak place. Don't let the wood décor deter you.
