There weren't many patrons when we first got there, so the music was a little loud. Our server did a great job throughout the whole meal, checking to see if everything was good or if we needed anything.
I gave this place another chance after submitting a 1 star review several months ago. My ribeye on the bone was absolutely delish. Medium cooked, juicy and soft. Mashed potato with butter was good this time, not soggy. I'm still not a fan of their sweet butter, but tolerable. Service was excellent. The front desk greeted my entrance and exit this time. The only thing is, I didn't get offered a root beer refill, I didn't bother to ask because I had to go. Please...
This was my 1st visit to this TX Roadhouse. I usually order steak at the chain, but I was doing takeout and thought the ribs would be a better choice. They were darn good ribs! Lean but not dry. Smoky and lightly covered with a not-too-sweet BBQ sauce. And, very tender!
The salad was unexceptional, but tasty. The ribs, baked potato, and rolls (yummy) were all still remarkably hot after the 15 minute drive home. It was a terrific dinner.
