Live music, space for dancing, very good wine. Not crowded on this winter Sunday afternoon. Customers may bring own food.
really surprised by the snob comment above, the servers were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful . a good variety of wines for all tastes, we all enjoyed our visit
Wi e tasting was delicious. Guys at the tasting were awesome. Very knowledgeable. View was amazing.
Don't go to this place, the staff is very rude, they don't provide good service, better go to Fox Meadow Vineyards & Winery, you will have a better time there.
Very unprofessional from the manager or whoever came out screaming first about the parking lot and literally the person that came out never let us walk towards the door he started yelling he was booked when he had whole lot of parking space available we called and spoke to someone female asking if we needed to make any reservations she said NO we drove 2 hours just for him give us attitude he was rude before us speaking
Very sad that this person showed his unprofessional side but it’s okay we ended up in a better Winery place with great people and great service
this place hates kids, even a one year old... horrible policy, rude owner... friendly service from the guy behind the bar until the owner came screaming and demanding that we leave immediately... there were only 2 customers there not minding a baby at all.

My favorite winery in Virginia (For the reds). Boldest flavors. Closest to mature tastes like old vine vineyards. I've been told RDV is comparable, but I'm not paying eleventy billion dollars for a thimble taste to find out.
With high expectations, my visit to this winery offered a mix of delights and disappointments.Chateau O’Brien at Northpoint offers a commendable selection of wines that undoubtedly showcase the pinnacle of winemaking prowess. However, the exorbitant prices overshadow the enjoyment, leaving a bitter aftertaste that detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, the Irish chocolate, though hyped by the owner, failed to deliver on its promise of excellence. While Chateau O’Brien at Northpoint undoubtedly has its merits, prospective visitors should approach with caution, mindful of the potential disappointment lurking behind the veneer of prestige.
I am not a wine lover, but my boyfriend is. We took an impromptu trip to this winery yesterday and let me tell you, as soon as I walked in the door it felt like home. The owner greeted us at the door and asked what kind of wines or alcohol in general we normally go for. He then walked us over to the bar and had me, since I'm the picky one, try a few before selecting what I want to sip on! I actually found one that I enjoyed, a first! A total win! The views are beautiful and the place itself is a work of art! Highly recommend! ❤️

Coziest and most personable winery/vineyard I have been to in northern Virginia. A lot of vineyards there are new (and many do have incredible venues and wines), but this one just stands out with its location and atmosphere. It is small, they do have signs that say no one under 21, and they are pricier than some other wineries close by — but again, the aesthetic and wines are so different and extraordinary that it’s worth it to me (but I’m not picky let alone a sommelier).
Owner was super cool and the wine was great!
Of the 4 wineries we visited in the area this weekend, everyone in our group thought chateau O’Brien was the best one!
We had made a reservation ahead of time (per their website’s instruction) and when we arrived we had a private table set up for us with everyone’s flights ready to go and small plate for each one of us to snack on. I unfortunately can’t remember the man’s name who did our tasting (I remember he said he recently moved to maryland and does the tastings on the weekend) but he was FANTASTIC. He was knowledgeable and so personable and we had a lot of fun!
Also the views from this winery are amazing!
Thanks for a great time!
This visit was brought on thanks to the winery having reps at the neighboring orchard! I loved my blueberry apple wine so much I had to come back and see the views. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, got a welcoming quick land & wine history lesson & the views were truly lovely! They also carry two champagnes worthy of celebrations.I understand everyone has different experiences in reviews but I encourage everyone to understand the passion the owner has in speaking about his business. He was happy to provide knowledge & recommendations.Drink up y’all! Come to enjoy the views, stay for the refreshing wine.
Sad that I don't have the option for no stars. From the minute we drove onto the property, there were a lot of negative signs - don't do this, don't part here, don't don't don't. Not a very welcoming environment. We walked in and to the bar to do tastings. The lady working the counter was very nice and personable. We got our first tastings and went to the side of the bar to sit down. Mind you, we were the only ones in the place. A man came up from down below where we were told they were doing private tastings. He saw us sitting and asked if we were here for the wine tasting. We said yes and he said- you can't sit here, you have to stand at the bar. We were happy to go back up to the bar for our next pours but it felt really awkward standing there and I also have a bad back so needed to sit. He was rude and belligerent to us and based on previous reviews, this seems to be the norm.Don't go here if you are looking for a nice relaxing wine tasting. Our server added in another taste for us because she felt bad. We finished our tasting and tipped her well but it wasn't enough to overcome our uneasy feeling.
