“I am not a wine lover, but my boyfriend is. We took an impromptu trip to this winery yesterday and let me tell you, as soon as I walked in the door it felt like home. The owner greeted us at the door and asked what kind of wines or alcohol in general we normally go for. He then walked us over to the bar and had me, since I'm the picky one, try a few before selecting what I want to sip on! I actually found one that I enjoyed, a first! A total win! The views are beautiful and the place itself is a work of art! Highly recommend! ❤️”
“What an amazing find in the middle of rural Virginia. Interesting, delicious food, friendly, attentive service. And a beautiful environment. I'll be back for sure.”
“Best pizza west of the beltway. Their menu is simple but solid, and their “special” pizzas are worth keeping an eye on. Wings are also done well. Staff are always friendly and online ordering is convenient. I’ve been there maybe a dozen times and only once was the pizza a little undercooked - but still delicious.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free option, veggie optionsKid-friendliness: Kids love it too”
“Some of the best lattes I’ve had! And I absolutely love their breakfast sandwich on gluten free waffles ? I love that they have a bunch of gluten free options from breakfast sandwiches, to ramen, and pastries. Dairy free milk too. I only wish there was more room to sit inside but the porch is quite nice when weather isn’t too cold.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free”
“Literally the best wine tasting experience ever! My mother reserved 2 igloos and they let us stay for 4 and a half hours! We were buying wine bottles and clearly my uncle had a great time. The igloos were nice, the inside had blankets, a blue tooth speaker, and heater. Our waiter Matt was friendly and funny. My family and I definitely made some memories!”
“The Chef's Tasting Menu was amazing. Wonderful wine pairings explained by the Sommelier. Lovely litte B&B nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley area. The restaurant is part of the Inn. Very horse country centric.”
“My son and I stopped by for lunch (the burger and steak sandwich was delicious) and left with even more food. We picked up the fantastic donuts and apple fritters. It was great looking around the store, and we picked more than a few trinkets, sauces, and stickers. We will be back soon.”
“First timer here. After hearing many glowing remarks about the Apple cider donuts at this establishment, I made the 1.5 hour drive out to Linden, VA. Walking in, it reminded me of your classic general store on steroids. There was a little bit of everything from signs with cute sayings to a variety of hard ciders from across the state. There are two areas where you can order food. Head to the right where it is less crowded and sit at the bar. I went with the staff's suggestion and ordered the Grilled Cheese sandwich with Brie, bacon & apricot jam with a balsamic glaze that came with French fries. That bacon jam was so good that I ended up walking away with two jars. The apple donuts lived up to the glowing reviews and I could see why people make the drive for these treats.”
“What a nice "discovery" this place was for us. Riding our motorcycles back home after visiting Western Maryland and WV, we decided to stop for lunch here. Food was abundant, fresh, and tasty. We all had the country fried steak breakfast platter. Cannot go wrong with it.Another pleasant surprise was the coffee. Best cup of coffee I've ever had at a diner. We kept asking for "more coffee, please"!Another special note about our server, Allison, she was friendly, professional and very attentive. Will definitely come back when I'm the Marshall area.”
“A better than average burger and full bar restaurant. I got a design my own lamb burger with broccoli. Nice that I could get some kind of vegetable instead of fries. Very decent food. I'd stop there again.”
“My daughter and I were pampered for a special girls' weekend / Sat dinner at this very lovely restaurant with delicious food and a nice wait staff. We would return again to dine and enjoy the back deck area in the spring.”
“Beautiful location and great cider. The cost just feels extremely high to me. It was $40 for a flight of eight 6 oz pours. This was surprising as most flights of four pours run $10-13, so I was thinking around 26 bucks for the eight glasses. I was shocked when they rang up the bill. $5.50 for a small cup of very flat root beer. My daughter didn't even finish it. $60 with taxes and tip.Yet, the cider was phenomenal. I guess you're paying for top shelf quality. They have a ton to choose from and are celiac safe.I rated the atmosphere as a three and that's because they do not have or enforce a leash law for dogs. I am a dog lover and have three dogs. We did not bring them with us and I'm glad that we did not. There were multiple dogs off leash and we saw one pint get knocked over by a dog and then we witnessed a dog fight which included three spilled drinks and some swear words. We often bring our dogs to breweries, wineries, and cideries and our dogs and others are always on a leash. The nature trail was cute and our younger kids loved it.Service was amazing. We will definitely be back but with a little bit more cash in our pocket next time. And without our dogs. The cider was worth the drive.”
“Based on our recent visits, Linden has corrected the issues that caused some of the bad reiews of the past. We are not club members and reserved a tasting in September 2023. My wife was not participating. The staff offered her a choice among several rooms in which to sit and asked if she preferred the windows open or closed, and then brought her a blanket and water to drink - they couldn't have been more accommodating. We were welcome to sit anywhere we liked after my tasting on each visit. The tasting staff were amazing, and were able to explain the winemaking process and vineyard management for each wine poured and were happy to answer questions. Owner Jim Law stopped at the bar a few times. And while I was finishing my tasting, two or three small groups appeared without the requisite reservations. Jim greeted them and said he could do a tasting for them at a separate bar. After my tasting, I joined them just to listen to what Jim had to say about his wines. I declined a pour saying "I just finished a tasting at the main bar." His reply was, "yes, but you didn't taste this one!" as he poured it for me. It was a sublime experience. As a result of the great first experience, I signed up for a special tour a couple weeks later on the day they were sorting the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the once-in-a-lifetime 2023 vintage. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable as she guided us through the vineyard and very busy production areas. Jim broke off his hard work a few times to give us samples of different wines in various stages and to add information. Meanwhile, the staff was keeping my wife comfortable in the winery. It is too bad these stars don't go to 11, because that would match our experiences at Linden.”
“Came here for the first time today for an Australian Shepherd meet up, and had a blast! Super dog friendly and a huge outside space and stream for dogs to play in.Staff were very friendly & the cider was fantastic! Will definitely be back!”
“We live everything we have ever had here. The service is always top notch. Extremely attentive and personable. Fish and chips, burgers, pot pie, everything is delicious!”
“My husband and I decided to visit for the first time today. We were very loyal guests at another winery that recently retired, closed and were looking to find another spot to spend our afternoon getaways. They are super dog friendly which is very important to us as we have a hairy child that goes everywhere with us!!What a great find!!! First and foremost the staff is wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and peaceful spot to just relax you have to check this place out!!!Tony started us off with a fantastic flight of there wines. Loved them all except one of the reds (just not my taste). The atmosphere was very relaxing and refreshing. Views absolutely amazing!!Needless to say we became members of there wine club ?Next time maybe we will try the beers.A Big Thank You to Tony for all your information and guest service. (And Tony’s wife?)Can’t wait for our next visit.”
“I've often walked past their hot foods section, and their Indian food always looks so good! I decided to try it. I can say with 100% confidence that their Indian food is BOMB! So worth it! The chicken tiki masala was so creamy and tender! I made my own rice at home and it was delightful- 5/5 The potato samosa was the perfect crisp, and the potato and peas were so delicious with the perfect amount of spice! The spice gives it a good kick at the end- 5/5 The chickpeas were flavorful and tasted like what you'd get at a restaurant- 5/5 The Mac and cheese had bigger pasta but a lot of cheese. It is definitely made in house and so delicious- 5/5 The Brussel sprouts were just the perfect amount of saltiness and crunch from the grill. Every bite was perfect! - 5/5 The only thing I wouldn't recommend purchasing was their Jerk Chicken. The meat was very dry and although the flavor was there, it wasn't something I'd buy again. The chicken was very different than the chicken they used for the chicken masala - 2/5 Overall, a great dinner to feed two people! The price is steep though, I got two boxes of food for about $40... so I guess I should've eaten at the seafood spot there instead, but the quality of food, if you choose correctly may be worth the steep pricing. I'd say if you're looking for a quick fill for GOOD INDIAN FOOD, def consider coming to the hot foods at Whole Foods!”
“Alex is awesome!! Love that he took time to chat with us. Our third trip here and we are looking to move in the area. Will definitely be a regular weekend spot! Good prices, good wine, and yummy food! What more could you need?”
