“Children welcomed INSIDE and cherished here!! We loved this winery! There were 8 adults and our 3 month old grandson. We were welcomed and felt at home. The wine is delicious and the food was yummy! They made us feel like family. We even hung out with Beans the cat. Thanks for a fun relaxing afternoon.”

Lisa led our wine tasting, and she was fantastic! She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, but what really stood out was how fun and engaging she made the entire experience.

We also had the chance to meet the owner, Howard, which made the visit even more special. He was so welcoming and easy to talk to, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys connecting with guests. He made everyone feel comfortable and added a really personal touch to the visit.

Between the great wines, the beautiful setting, and the warm hospitality from Lisa and Howard, Chateau O’Brien is a place I would absolutely recommend. If you’re looking for a fun and welcoming winery experience, this is definitely one to check out.”

“This is my husband and I’s favorite walkable date spot! The cupcakes are AMAZING, the coffee is great, and the employees are so friendly and welcoming. We go here so often that many of the employees know us personally! We also got our gender reveal cupcakes from here and they were perfect! 10/10 recommend!”

“Love the atmosphere and the food. I came in by myself without reservations. The host at the front went out of his way to find me a table but none were available and a 45 minute wait. Finally a seat at the bar opened and he asked me if I minded sitting there, I said no problem. The bar tender who waited on me was very polite and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Great service and checked on me frequently. I highly recommend this place! I had Fish and Chips snd Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. That was soo good.”

“This is the finest restaurant in Virginia. It is family owned and should have multiple Michelin stars unlike other high-end restaurants in the area, this one lacks pretentiousness. The service is second to none, the staff is amazing, and the family who runs The Houndstooth and the Glenn Gordon Manor are amazing people and have put together not just amazing food, but an amazing experience.”

“I came to celebrate my birthday with a group of seven friends. We originally had a reservation for six people and I added an additional two, in a seprate online reservation. I called ahead to let them know we were running late. We were told it was okay and they would still be able to accommodate us. When we arrived my party was at two separate tables. One table was for two and the other was for six. I asked the waitress if it was possible to move the two guest to our table of six. She said "no" and I said "okay, I understand." Then the general manger Ken Gray came over yelling at my me and my table of guests. He aggressively told me that they can't do that, however, it was unnecessary because it was already understood and accepted. We enjoyed our $800 tasting until, Ken Gray came back again, aggressively telling us that we needed to get up because the next party was there. I proceeded to get up to go outside and he came back again after I left yelling at my guests. I felt discriminated against and definitely did not feel welcomed at Crimson Lane Vineyards as an African American woman. I was extremely disappointed in Ken Gray's aggressive behavior. It put a damper on my birthday celebration!”

“Our first time here to celebrate our anniversary. We were very pleased. Staff was attentive and helpful, food was good, and desserts were tasty. Prices are reasonable, plus there was live music playing. We’ll be back for sure”

“The winery is beautiful! A great wrap around covered porch with nice views. Lots of seating, including inside and tables at the end of the grape rows. Dog friendly inside and outside. You can bring your own food or order wood fired pizza (which looked really good). The beers were great, the smoked red ale was very rich and tasty and the Vienna lager was malty and crisp. The Maya (cab franc and Nebollino blend) was a very good red, so we got a bottle! A very nice venue with super friendly staff. The entrance/exit needs to be completely overhauled. It is VERY short and steep at a 30+ degree angle, We saw a limo that couldn't get in on the side of the road. Be VERY cautious when exiting. We will certainly be back!”

“Loved Barrel Oak! Staff was amazing. Venue was gorgeous with lots of seating. The wine was great too. Really liked most of the whites and a lot of the reds. Favorites were the Pinot Gris and the Red blend. Wonderful afternoon at Barrel Oak.”

“Sunday, April 22, 2024, my wife and I were entertained at Delaplane Cellars tasting room by our old friends Keith & Viqui Dill AKA the Dill Pickers. We had a fantastic time listening to some great Bluegrass and Blues selections while enjoying several glasses of exquisite wine. We are hoping that they will book the Dill Pickers in the future and give us more than one day's notice so we can invite several friends to their venue. The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. As a disabled Vietnam veteran, I sometimes am not the most graceful so when I accidentally knocked over my glass of wine the staff were there instantly to clean up the mess and replace my wine. Our visit was exhilarating and the views were beautiful.”
