Hunter's Head Tavern Reviews
Love the atmosphere and the food. I came in by myself without reservations. The host at the front went out of his way to find me a table but none were available and a 45 minute wait. Finally a seat at the bar opened and he asked me if I minded sitting there, I said no problem. The bar tender who waited on me was very polite and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Wanted to share my recent experience at the Hunter's Head in Upperville. As someone who has lived in the area for many years, I used to go there often and always really enjoyed it. I recently went back to check out the new ownership and management, and I was absolutely shocked by how incredible it was!
It was beyond delicious, phenomenal is the only word for it. Every single thing I ordered was outstanding. Run, don't walk, to check out the new Hunter's Head!

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. My only issue was that the food took 45 minutes to arrive.

Hunter's Head Tavern offers a delightful farm-to-table experience, using fresh produce from their own farm. The 1652-built location provides a charming ambiance, a refreshing change from chain restaurants. The exterior is beautiful, and the interior decor adds to the authentic experience. The staff is generally helpful and patient, with many noting the attentive service. Recommended dishes include the chicken pot pie, quiche, and strawberry salad. Guests have praised the steak and eggs, roasted Brussels sprouts, and the battered cod as delicious choices. The menu also features excellent calamari, steak frites, and trout, followed by desserts like the strawberry rhubarb pie and the highly recommended peanut butter pie. There is a dog-friendly patio with seating outside, making it a great spot for those who want to bring their furry friends. Conveniently located about 30 minutes from Ashburn, Hunter's Head Tavern is a place worth visiting.
