Chateau O'Brien At North Point

I am not a wine lover, but my boyfriend is. We took an impromptu trip to this winery yesterday and let me tell you, as soon as I walked in the door it felt like home. The owner greeted us at the door and asked what kind of wines or alcohol in general we normally go for. Coziest and most personable winery/vineyard I have been to in northern Virginia. A lot of vineyards there are new (and many do have incredible venues and wines), but this one just stands out with its location and atmosphere. It is small, they do have signs that say no one under 21, and they are pricier than some other wineries close by — but again, the aesthetic and wines are so different and extraordinary that it’s worth it to me (but I’m not picky let alone a sommelier).

This visit was brought on thanks to the winery having reps at the neighboring orchard! I loved my blueberry apple wine so much I had to come back and see the views. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, got a welcoming quick land & wine history lesson & the views were truly lovely!
