Rising Sun is the perfect place because it has good food AND ambiance, which can sometimes be hard to find both in one place in Martinsville. They even have great coffee drinks and prebiotic sodas, which almost nobody carries around here!

This place is very nice! My son and I went there the other week and ordered some sandwiches. My son ordered a club sandwich and I a chicken salad sandwich. Delicious and very fulfilling! Both sandwiches made to perfection! They'll be seeing more of us, that's for sure!

Great little bakery! Love the monte Cristo strata (it's a savory bread pudding) Delicious!! Try this place for brunch they have a tasty selection 🙂

This little coffee and bakery shop located across from the Post Office and Food Lion, makes for an easy stop in off both Spruce or Brookdale. Inside, there is an area with tables and chairs to eat in if you choose. The display units are filled with a wide spectrum of baked goods, which pushed my A1C warning lights to the danger levels on a visual, so I settled for the Cowboy cookie and chocolate chip to give my Metformin a challenge for the day. The staff and manager were really friendly and warm.
I highly recommend their chicken salad on COW bread (Cranberry-Oatmeal-Walnut)...awesome. Hot sandwiches equally as yummy.
Their crepe ham, egg and cheese is unbelievably delicious.
Added the Rising Sun Breads to my go to place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This place is literally the cutest! The decor is so pretty and all of their food looks delicious! I had their cinnamon roll, lemon poppy seed muffin, sausage egg and gruyere sandwich, and Cobb salad! So good I went twice in one day! The owner and staff are super nice and friendly too. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Today was my first visit to the store. I tried the blt with egg salad & my granddaughter had the Nutella crepes. We both enjoyed our breakfast. We will definitely be making frequent visits.

Generally good, but today I tried a chocolate croissant, she microwaved the first one to the point of inedibility. The second one she put in the oven till it was overdone but still at least edible. I suspect it was just old.
Nice place- just needs to up their game- which I believe they are trying to do.

Rising Sun catered my wedding and it was the most amazing experience. We went tapas style, with each small plate being a dish from around the world. Each one was so delicious. And let’s not forget the dessert. We had both crème brûlée and cobbler instead of wedding cake. One of my guests said she almost wanted to cry the crème brûlée was that good. 10/10 highly recommend.

We ordered a small 2 tier cake for a two year old bday party this weekend, and could not be more pleased! Guests all remarked at how cute and detailed the train themed design was, and then also gushed about how delicious once it was served. Highly recommend Danielle and her team!
