This girl!! I got a phone call from my scheduled baker the morning of pick up that they were not able to complete my wedding cake. But Sun Rising Breads took me by the hand and reassured me that my dream would be fulfilled. She delivered, set up, and decorated my cake in less than 24 hours. I highly recommend her simply because she saved the day. But most importantly the taste of the cake was amazing with no left overs. Perfectly sweet, and very moist. I'll be back for that strawberry cake I see in the pics.Yummy yummy yummy

Just recently started going there, and I loved it! I've gotten there baked goods, breads,and cookies,cinnamon rolls to die for as well as some of their frozen entries and their soups too! I'm glad that we have such a wonderful bakery so close.

It’s a little hard to eat breakfast there when they can’t heat up the food they sell. I did buy a piece of cake to take home. It was very dry and obviously old. I don’t recommend this place. I did give it 3 stars because everything looked good but too bad it was disappointing.

A delightful place for breakfast and brunch. Some indoor seating but for a small amount of guests. Cheerful service and they do have more of some items in the back. Breads made from scratch and other pastries. Looking for fresh bagels but the closest spot is 40 miles away? They have a limited amount of bagels here, so come in early. I'm sure if demand increases the store could become a bagel store with how good they were. I got 2 everything, a plain, and a salted. Here is hoping they make a PB or chocolate one soon. They were chewy, warm and soft. I also got a lemon bar which was tart and very sweet, you could taste the the baker's skill in every bite. Cinnamon roll was quite nice, exactly what you expect with that foamy icing top. Lastly the Cinnamon bread pudding really shines, would try it if you haven't. I'm so very delighted to have visited and will be back for sure!

I'm trying to figure out how this place is in business. The service was not good at all, I'm not sure that the girl who helped me was properly trained on how to make an actual latte as there was no foam, and no one in my group liked their sandwiches enough to return again. At one point, we were searching for someone to help us in the front and I watched a woman in the back just standing there... like not with her phone or anything. She was just staring at the wall. I finally caught her attention and she came through the doors to help us. It was strange.

Rising Sun is a great place to stop in and grab a sandwich for lunch and some frozen entrees for dinner along with a loaf of fresh bread. There are so many tempting treats too. I picked up a couple of loaves of their bread when I had family visiting and it was a treat for all of us. I also got an oven-ready apple pie that was very well received. None of it went to waste.
We wanted a bereavement basket sent to a friend’s home before a funeral and contacted Rising Sun based on their beautiful website. They could not have been kinder or more accommodating. They put together muffins, cookies, breads, and quiche and hand delivered the assortment. The recipients were very pleased. I’ve never been to Martinsville, but if I do, I’ll definitely stop by. Thank you so much for your help.

I was in the area just for an appointment. Had time for lunch beforehand so googled “Lunch near me”. I’m so glad this was the closest place. Great tasting food (and so much!) Everyone was kind and courteous. Wished I lived closer so I could make this a regular stop!

I have been on Keto since 2015 and was excited to find out that this bakery sold Keto products. These were awful. ? No sweetness at all and way too salty. Like they forgot the erythritol (Swerve) and tripled the salt. I had to throw them away. Does anyone even taste test these products?
