A beautiful winery. wonderful place to enjoy a quiet afternoon

Peaceful and relaxing describes this winery. It can be easily accessed off the highway but you feel miles away. The wine selection is very good and the gifts shop offers unique gifts. We enjoyed a glass of wine and relaxed doing a simple, small jigsaw puzzle. This is a must stop if you are driving through Wytheville, VA

They were out of most wines, and the one that I tasted and liked, a very nice, well-bodied cabernet sauvignon, wasn't yet bottled and so could not be purchased.

BUT, they were very nice folk and didn't charge us for tasting 2 of their wines, and so yeah, 5 stars.

A very beautiful place with picturesque landscapes. Unfortunately, the selection of wines currently available is very limited. There was only one dry white, one dry red and three types of sweet wines available. We didn't manage to enjoy the flight. But from what we have, I really liked the Riesling and dry red. The wines do not taste like store-bought alcohol, but are quite soft and harmonious. I also liked the peach slush with wine. I bought dry mix to make slushie at home. In general, the store has many locally produced items and products. There are deer and fawns walking around the house. You can just sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and the taste of the wines. I recommend calling first to know what is available. As a gift for a bottle of wine, the owner of the store gave a wonderful personalized glass, for which special thanks. There are a lot of medal winning wines.

Visiting West Wind Winery was a pleasant, unexpected surprise. Our hostess was warm, friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed sampling the farm’s white wines and fruit wines. Our favorites were the Galena Creek White and the lemon-lime slushee, which we enjoyed sipping on the patio surrounded by wildflowers. It was a wonderful way to end the afternoon and a visit I highly recommend to travelers going through Max Meadows, VA!

Amanda was our server and she couldn't have been nicer! Absolute pleasure. They didn't have a lot of their wines when we visited so we only got to taste a few but the ones we did try were very good. The winery itself is very nice inside. All kinds of stuff to browse through, comfortable little couch area and plenty of seating. Everything was reasonably priced which is always nice! They are also picnic friendly so feel free to bring your own snacks.

Megan was delightful. The retail area has fun and quirky wine-themed gifts. We bought the peach wine and the riesling.

Always wonderful to visit for professional visits or personal. Amazing variety of cool things in their store, wine tasting is available and everyone on their staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when tasting and choosing wine. All their wines are great for anyone but especially for those who are looking to make their way into more advanced wines or who are learning to acquire taste for wine, smooth and always flavorful. We absolutely love when we get to pair with West Wind on any event.

Such a beautiful place. Very decent wines. We loved their red blend a d the white vidal blanc.Very friendly and wonderful hosts.

Wonderful wines, cheeses, and giftshop, paired with a gorgeous, countryside setting. Made for a perfect, memorable weekend visit for us. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
