Very authentic persian food in the DMV.

Amoo Masood is the best.

My brother and I took our sister to Amoo's for lunch today to celebrate her birthday.

All the food was fresh, well cooked and delicious! The bread looked freshly baked and was very good.

Everyone enjoyed their meals, with plenty leftover to take home.

The server brought a bowl of Saffron Ice Cream with a candle in honor of my sister's birthday. She shared the bowl with all of us.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

The food was delicious, very much like home-cooked, bursting with flavors without being overwhelming. Even the hummus was so....pure. And the service was incomparable. Tonight was our first visit, but we are sure to come back.

This is an absolutely amazing kabob place. The food is awesome. Great Koobideh, and a must try buffalo fillet mignon kabob.
Used to work in Arlington and would drive 25 minutes each way just eat lunch at Amoo.

Our visit to Amoo’s Restaurant was disappointing, with service that felt rushed, making us uncomfortable from the start. Instead of the fresh, homemade bread typically found in Persian restaurants, they served frozen, store-bought bread you can find in bulk anywhere, paired with basic butter and a cilantro sauce. They decided to serve all our orders as a family-style meal without asking, which wasn’t our preference. The food itself was initially warm but quickly turned cold, with the Ghormeh Sabzi was runny and lacking flavor and the rice tasting bland and rushed. The Kobideh was decent, but the high prices and unremarkable atmosphere don't justify the experience. There are better Persian dining options nearby.

The crispy rice, called Tahdig, was very delicious crunchy and paired well with stew on top. The bread was made fresh, and persian saffron ice tea was very refreshing. Very nice and quaint place to have beautiful evening.

My first experience with this restaurant was terrible! I put order using Uber Eats, the restaurant accepted it and they couldn’t find any person for delivery after waiting for one hour! Then, I got charged for nothing!!! I don’t recommend this restaurant. They charged me $63.55 for the food which I didn’t receive. This money was paid to the restaurant not to UberEATS. I attached the receipt. Stay away from this restaurant. UberEATS refund you if the restaurant agrees but they didn’t. This show how they care about their customers. Go to other Persian restaurants in DC area (Rumi’s kitchen, Kebob Bazaar, Maman Joon Kebob, Friends Kebob, Shamshiry, …)
