I come to the D.C. area from Galveston, Texas once or twice a year to visit my son — but honestly, I wouldn’t be lying if I said Amoo’s Restaurant has become another big reason I come! The owner’s hospitality is on another level — he treats every customer like family. The food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic Persian flavors, and the service is outstanding. Everything about this place makes you feel welcome and appreciated....

A hidden gem in the DMV. Staff and owner are friendly and hospitable. Chicken kabobs were very flavoral and juicy. The rice was tasty and fresh. Also enjoyed the pita bread and Shirazi salad. I am actually ordering from them again right now as we speak lol.

I haven’t left a review for a restaurant in ages. But this food was so good I had to. I’ll preface my review by saying it was my first time having Persian food but I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile. Tonight my family ordered saffron chicken, tahdig and Ghormeh sabzi.
