Spam musubi was one of my favorite comfort foods. Once I became a vegetarian of course this was a challenge. Capital has a tofu musubi which is a decent attempt but not how I would do it. The tofu is just firm tofu vs. I'd imagine a fried version with some type of flavor would be better. It's wrapped in saran wrap but somehow is messy b/c it falls apart. I've eaten here a few times, service is meh and the atmosphere is definitely not somewhere you'd want to linger, not many tables seems to focus on takeout. OK value. I will confess the best spam musubi was one that I did myself using a plant-based spam you can find any grocery store.

I liked it. I chickened out from getting a SPAM offering and opted for the loco moco which is hamburger, egg, and a delicious brown gravy on the side. I'd get a combo which is much better value than a large carte.

I've been multiple times at this point every time they forget something. They don't listen when you order they by-pass using your rewards. If you ask them to let you put your rewards in they give an attitude and then re-enter your order wrong. They rush you but then take long to fulfill your order. Then when you are just trying to get the thing you paid for they do not listen and just walk away quickly. The onigiri doesn't open easily that is more of a product issue, I recommend fixing that. I normally just let stuff go but I'm kinda fed up at this point. I don't know if it's a race thing I mean I see other guests get treated differently. I don't know what I'm doing to get that kind of service? I literally just say the items I want. Because they by-pass the rewards every time I've lost lots of points.

I have been a fan of capital musubi for a very long time but in recent months the food has gone down in taste drastically. I’m not sure if you hired new employees or if there was a change in management but the food no longer tastes like it once did. The food has been either overly spicy with no flavor or has been fishy tasting.

i really like the tofu bowl here!! it has perfect combinations + has a salad option! today is my 2nd time here as this is one of the only clean eating options for me in the Mall

i’m here just within the opening hour + the many staff people (walking around + beside me) don’t even speak, no hi, no smile; nothing. i think service should still matter even if it is fast + we order on screens

after placing my order i requested to sub the bowl tofu for the pan fried tofu made in the musubi. the lady said okay + my food came out almost immediately with just slightly warm firm tofu. not at all panfried

i mentioned to the same lady who also made it that it wasn’t pan fried. she grabbed a glove + grabbed the tofu in my bowl and said “but it’s hot, see, touch it” while holding it at me

i repeated twice “it isn’t made pan fried’ + she continued repeating herself with the pieces of firm ‘slightly warm’ not pan fried tofu in her hand. i gave in + she dropped the handed tofu back in my bowl

i ate it of course because im hungry + wont argue because this place clearly doesn’t know how to customer service

sadly, i will NOT be back :(
