Food and service are always fantastic, but the noise level can be a little too much at times.

I've only dined at Matchbox a handful of times, but usually order pizza. This time, I only a brunch entree (seafood scramble). It was okay, but not great. My friend ordered shrimp and grits; she too indicated her meal was not that great. Service was okay and our alcoholic drinks were good. If I return to this or another location, I would likely stick to pizza or maybe give the bottomless brunch a try.

This is a great spot. Always good customer service when I come here. I had the apple pear salad for lunch and it was spot on. Shout out to Angelica for taking care of me at the bar. She has great customer service which I always appreciate.

My wife and I dined at Matchbox, McLean this evening. While we always enjoy the food, the service has traditionally not been stellar. As a result, we do not visit Matchbox as much as we would like to.
I am happy to report we had outstanding service tonight. Thank you, Darren, for making our experience so wonderful.
Darren was friendly, personable, attentive (without being overbearing), proactive refilling our beverages, and displayed an upbeat/positive demeanor. We hope to see Darren, again, in the future.

Had a lovely brunch with Darren as our waiter. Love their outdoor space – even a little outdoor bar. Food is always good – my steak came perfectly rare as requested, and their craft cocktails are creative and fun – and exceptionally tasty!
We arrived this restaurant at 11:30am Saturday 08/30 as it’s on the list of DC Metro Restaurants list. Nobody mentioned the restaurant week menu when we got in. When we asked about it, the waiter went to ask the manager and brought us the “dinner menu”. We asked for the “lunch menu” as it’s shown on their website. The waiter went inside to ask the manager again and told us that they don’t serve “lunch menu” on weekends, which is not true on their website! Very disappointing! Bad service and dishonest!

We had a wonderful time at Matchbox on Saturday thanks to Darren. He was very attentive and made sure all of our needs were met. He constantly provided us refills with our drinks and took our orders very quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a great all you can eat brunch place!
