We were in DC from Tuesday to Thursday, and this venue was highly recommended by locals. Understandably, as big foodies and cocktail fanatics, my wife & I knew we had to go.Our son, who is a picky eater, was also happy to try new things! While the entire plaza is under construction currently, don't let that deter you from making the trip out!Every single dish is a true representation of the cuisine and culture. We sincerely hope you get out there, support & appreciate this hidden gem.

friendly elegant & delicious food. A family neighborhood establishment I'm proud to know of! crispy eggplant and shrimp a favorite, great special sushi rolls as well! (The Tiger--Roll is yummy)!!

This is the worst hostess I have ever seen. Super rude and impolite.Lost my appetite after being insulted by her.Never coming back here again.

I work for a delivery company and every time I get an order from this place, they make wait 25/30 minutes. Absolutely the worst customer service

Particularly delicious food. Haven't had a meal here I didn't enjoy.

Good food but front of house, getting orders out can be a disaster.

I think the photos speak for themselves, absolutely beautiful and delicious sushi. Extremely high quality and thick cuts. They have Chinese, Thai and Japanese food… we will definitely be back!

The food is wonderful, but I will never order from them again. On one occasion, they forgot part of the order. That's fine. Accidents happen, but when we called, they insisted that the food was in the order, even though I was politely explaining that I was looking at the food and items were not there. They treated me like a liar, as though I trying to con them out of a few portions of nigiri sushi. It was absurd; and the phone staff were blatantly insulting. It turned into an absurd saga, with 5 or 6 phone calls before they would send the missing items, and even when they did, they refused to accept that a member of their staff must have just made a simple error. On another occasion, they accidentally over-charged by a huge amount, but to be honest, it was that lack of trust, after we'd ordered from them every 2 weeks for a year, that really irritated me. So, sadly, we will order elsewhere.

Great food. Love the Thai Basil Beef and the Sesame Chicken is amazing. Good and friendly service. Prices are a little higher but the quality of the food is excellent. Well worth it!!

Located in Chesterbrook Shopping Center near the Arlington/McLean border on Old Dominion Drive. Visited on a very chilly Tuesday night in January. Place was empty except for a few stragglers picking up takeout orders. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a wonderfully prepared meal. Tsingtao was not available so I tried the Thai beer (Shigha)--very refreshing. For an appetizer we had the Sesame Shrimp Toast, which my son loved. We were also served the Sweet and Sour Cucumber, which came compliments of the House. Nice gesture! My son ordered the Sesame Chicken and I had the Beef and Broccoli. Both were outstanding and we vowed to come back. Service was friendly and extremely efficient. Try New Star you will enjoy it! Bye Bye

Very good quality on my items... Mongolian beef, pork dumplings, Yaki udon. Orange Chicken was great because it was all chunks of white meat, not mystery gristle and skin hiding under the breading. While not cheap, the generous portions fed us for several days!

Great food. Especially liked the Orange Chicken with chunks of white meat, instead of the mystery blobs of breading & skin served at many Chinese restaurants. Also very good were the yaki udon, Mongolian beef and steamed pork dumplings. The only problem was that we ordered pork spring rolls but they delivered vegetarian spring rolls that were so tough we couldn't chew them. Overall. Very Good!

I had so hoped to like this more. It's close to my home and I've felt lost since House of Fortune closed. Sadly, it's just ok. I ordered the MuShu Pork to go. It's a large portion, but pretty bland and very little pork. Back to Fahrenheit. It's a bit further, and more expensive, but better and generous with meaty portions.
