Extremely arrogant owner who didn’t want feedback on ways to improve their $14 avocado toast that u can easily make at home. This is not gourmet style. She was not open to feedback saying I didn’t need to come back. Thats the worst thing to say to a customer. You cannot feel like you’re perfect and that there’s no room for improvement. Thats the wrong attitude to have in the service industry. Also u can’t say it’s served with “fruit” and just put 5 grapes on the side. Terrible experience. As the owner recommended, I would not be going back, not for the food but for her attitude.

Got a cup of regular roasted coffee and it tasted bitter. The server poured coffee in a dirty, not washed cup. There were spots around the edges. When I asked if there is a re-fill he said it will be $1. It should be free in my opinion. A customer is probably not going to get more than 1 re-fill. Not coming back.

Star Nut has THE BEST chai latte. The owners are nice. They have a shih tzu who wanders and keeps the guests company. The food is limited and expensive for what it is.

Enjoyed the relaxed vibe and delicious food. Everything was wonderful, warm and welcoming. The Gelato looked amazing - we must return another day to try! They serve crêpes on the weekend, and they even had gluten-free options. Very impressed, and can't wait to come back.

They do have a cute little café dog that was content just sitting quietly and enjoying people's company, but heads up if you are adverse to that sort of thing.

As a small business owner, I appreciate the super kind and friendly staff and commitment to outstanding service at Starnut. It’s a super clean, welcoming, and pleasant spot. This is our go-to for weekdays work meetings over coffee or lunch or after hours for social coffees. I even swing by here from time to time with daughter for an ice cream or dessert treat after a particularly hard day or to celebrate a small win!

Don’t go to Starnut Gourmet!

I had two terrible experiences at Starnut Gourmet that I feel compelled to share.

On my first visit, my party and I spent over $100 on breakfast and food. My cousin grabbed a drink and paid for it separately. Before we left, the owner rudely approached us, demanding payment for the drink, which we had already paid for. The employee confirmed our payment, but the owner's accusatory attitude was completely unnecessary. She could have simply asked her employee first before making such a rude assumption.

On my second visit, I went there for a meeting. As soon as we sat down and began talking, the owner approached us within the first few minutes, rudely implying that we were there to use the space without ordering by saying, “you can order over here.” His tone was condescending and made us feel unwelcome.

I do not recommend this place due to the owner's lack of courtesy and respect towards customers. There are plenty of other cafes with better service and more polite staff.

They served cold (not that hot) mochas and they have issues with seating of group of people (4 or more). And they put ‘Reserved’ things on top of the table.
