It feels like the Palm Tysons Corner has lost its shine. We've dined there for years when visiting Northern Virginia, and have generally found it to be very, very good. Last night was disappointing. We noted as we checked in that someone just ahead of us had requested to be moved to another table; we apparently got seated at that table after they refused it. We sat for about 10 minutes with absolutely no attention; finally someone realized there was a couple at a table being ignored. We then had two waiters trying to help us simultaneously. One took our wine order; shortly after, another came and asked what we'd like to drink. If felt like it took 30-40 minutes before they finally straighted us out with the other table (and not sure they ever did for sure). Our appetizer and salad were very good. We both ordered steak and shared the au gratin potatoes. The steak was ok-nothing out of the ordinary and no better than I've gotten at quite a few other upscale restaurants. The potatoes were lukewarm-tasted like they'd been sitting somewhere for a while before they decided to serve them. We debated on sending them back, but didn't, assuming we'd probably be finished with our steak before a replacement showed up. Watching the staff as they walked by our table, it seemed like some were very, very stressed-they didn't show it to the diners they were serving, but if you looked closely you could see it in their actions and how they occasionally seemed to almost snap at each other. Not sure if they were understaffed or what might have been going on. I will say that Jason was very pleasant to talk with, and did a decent job with us once things settled out-but it seemed to take the staff a while to determine what was going on. Not what you would expect at The Palm. Given the declining level of service and quality of food, and the fact that there are several other very good options in the area, it feels as if our trips to the Palm are coming to an end.

Jared Charlery was very curtious and helpful in making our selections. We had a lovely evening. One of our steaks was stringy but they kindly removed it from our bill and gracious gave us a keylime dessert. Thank you. Mrs. Knox

We have been dining at The Palm restaurants since they opened for business and we thoroughly enjoy dining at there restaurants throughout the US. The food and service are always top shelf in qualtity and presentation. I can say the same for the service.

Bill provided friendly, professional service and we had a lovely lobster summer special dinner with an added filet! The perfect early dinner before Wolf Trap. The staff took excellent care of us and we ate every bit! Thank you Palm Tyson's!

We've dined here before. As per usual, the food was excellent, cooked to perfection. (lobster bisque, 4 lb. lobster for two, and garlic mashed potatoes). Jeremy, our waiter, did an outstanding job seeing to our experience without being over attentive. We enjoy the Palm for special occasions. The main dining room does get a bit loud as the restaurant gets busy.

We had a delicious meal with excellent and personal service. The wine list had plenty of options. The wedge salad was a delicious appetizer and our entrees were prepared perfectly. Don’t skip the cheesecake for dessert!
While visiting The Palm, we had Bill as our waiter, and he did an excellent job. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We are long-term, happy, patrons of the palm. Went over for the summer lobster special and it was superb. The food and service is always outstanding (Thank you Mishka), but last night was great even by Palm standards.

We came to celebrate my Father in Law's 86th birthday and had a wonderful time! Jane, our server, took fantastic care of us and made sure everything was perfect. The food was outstanding as always. I started with the shrimp cocktail and it was one of the best I have ever had! The crab cocktail was also delicious. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the chicken parm was divine. Everyone really enjoyed their meal and the ambiance. We came early so the restaurant was quiet which was really nice for our particular occasion. We all look forward to returning to the Palm Tyson's again soon and I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a visit.
