Excellent food and service. I'm not a fan of the credit card surcharge. When entrees are $25+, that should not be an added charge.
My recent visit to Wildfire was most disappointing. It started with a subpar Vesper martini. I sent it back and received a slightly better but still NQR martini. I couldn't really place what was wrong but both had tasted watery (looking at the receipt later it seems like it was missing gin). It had been a long day and I didn't feel like making an issue of it so I sipped it for the rest of the meal. ***note*** Wildfire has always made the best Vespers. I ordered the duck (which is why we drove an hour to the restaurant) and my husband ordered the roasted chicken. I was soon notified that they were out of the duck... Again... Well, though extremely disappointing, that one us on us... We weren't able to leave work until 6pm and it's popular. Our waiter and the manager raved about the swordfish so I ordered that instead. My husband says the chicken was okay and I can say the same for the swordfish. But just okay as in it wasn't awful but wasn't life changing either. My real disappointment was my side. I had ordered the baked macaroni and cheese. If you tell me the macaroni and cheese is baked I expect it to be served a ramekin with bubbly crusty macaroni and cheese. What I got was something that could be found in a Lean Cuisine meal - and tasted like it. Honestly not bad but disappointing in a restaurant like Wildfire. To top it off our waiter, though charming, was inattentive. My husband is still waiting for his rolls... All in all we drove a long way to eat at our favorite restaurant and got a not so favorite experience.
We've eaten here twice in the last three weeks. Very pleased both times. Lots of choices on the menu. Every bit as good or better than the high priced steak houses that litter the Tysons area. We've been several times over the years but tend to forget it's there. Definitely putting Wildfire in the rotation going forward.
When we sat down we noticed that the glasses were not clean. When I asked for a new glass and soda water the women looked at me like I called her a name. She took the glass and never came back. When out waiter came he asked would we like something to drink. My partner said she wanted a drink and before I got a chance he was off. I had to stop him and tell him I wanted the same drink and soda water. My partner ordered the Cedar Planked Salmon with brown suger-soy glaze with Broccoli Caps. She said that is was basically Applebee's level Salmon. I ordered the Char Crust Bone-In Rib Eye which supposed to been very well marbled. The food came out in 10 minutes thats a problem in it self. Other steak houses we've been to the steak takes longer and the steak is tender. The steak was tuff when cutting it with the steak knife and you had to work at it also your fork could not go through the meat easily. There was no marbling it was like a low end Walmart steak. I told and showed the waiter how tuff it was and to take it i was not going to chew forever. I asked for a half rack of ribs and when they came they were tuff too. The waiter joked saying sorry that probably was a tuff cow. This place is in Tysons Galleria where everything is high-end your food and service should be at the same level as where your at.
Our meals were fantastic. The service was above and beyond. Prompt and he was very careful with my gluten allergy.
The service was excellent and food was very good. I will be eating there agin the next time I am in the Tysons area.
We were seated right next to the kitchen and it was incredibly loud. The food was good but we couldn't hear other talk. It's in the mall and very noisy.
Wildfire has very good food and attentive service. My only complaint is the $30 holding charge for a reservation within 24 hours. I've never seen the place very crowded and can't imagine why they would institute such a policy. It have me pause about making a reservation and runs counter to attracting business. It's not like they saved a specific table for us. Which brings me to another note the hostess. When someone goes to the trouble of making a reservation and there's ample seating don't seat them right beside the drink station, the bathroom or other high traffic spots, nor in the bar unless they ask.
The attentive service in the bar was great. And we really appreciated they split the entree and salad to separate plates for us to share.
It was really nice .........food, service the whole experience. We also had a strict vegan in the group and I was afraid she wouldn't find something, but she did and truly enjoyed it!! We had a great time. Highly recommend

Our dining experience was more than superb ! We especially come to enjoy your Sunday/Monday/Tuesday dinner specials, but what really adds to our special dining was our server Wilma. She always greets us with energetic smile and conversation. She is one of our main reasons for coming back as many times as we do. Not only is your food offerings great, but your serving staff is spectacular. Especially, Wilma our server. You have a very attentive employee and she is always great to talk to, take our order and follow-up to make our dining experience fantastic. Thank you !! Great staff ...
