We had a great breakfast here. The portions were huge and everything was delicious. While waiting for our table we went to see the Mill. This is one of the prettiest places on Parkway

Ritz Being Positive!

3 hours.. Be ready to wait that long to get in the restaurant if you go one of these fall color weekends!! Seeing the Mill itself only takes 15-20 mns and no other places to get food near by.. Food was good, simple menu.. but I’d rather go drive to the nearby Winery to eat n drink.

Disappointed small dogs not allowed (emotional therapy pet). Next option was takeout, which was not available either despite Yelp Amenities stating 'Offers Takeout'. The greeter didn't seem to care, but did ask manager (which I appreciate), but manager declined. It was 0730 with no visible patrons. Will not return and verbalize to my travel groups.

While the mill, beauty, history, photo ops have made this site a favorite stop for ten years the restaurant is not a favorite. The wait is very long and they close the grill completely mid morning so the pancakes cannot be cooked after. The construction on highway near mill 2023 delays arrival by 40 minutes. The waitresses seemed over worked, understaffed and uncaring. I will bring a pic-nick basket next time and NOT use the restaurant.

A NEW BEGINNING FARM

For as long as this place has been there. The number of visitors it welcomes and feeds...they need to clean up and remodel the dining area. The food was devious, yes. (Pot roast and chicken pot pie) Service was good, yes. However, as I looked around and noticed the years of dirt, grime, and wear on the floor and walls, I could help but think... do I really want to eat here. It made me think of what the kitchen might look like. We visited here back in 2010. We just revisited in 2023. The place hasn't changed except for the age it shows. Sad. With the hour plus wait we had, the prices going up... I think they can afford at least paint and a new floor in the dining room.

The biscuits if thrown could have killed a cow that's how hard they were. I asked for crispy bacon instead got chewy bacon. Waitress said if they cooked it more it would burn. If you can't cook it like a person wants explain that to them. So they could make another selection. The only 2 things were good was the eggs and grits. Never was asked if I wanted more tea until I was done with my meal. Another napkin would have been nice too. It's been a long time since we ate there, guess I will never go back. ?

I would give the restaurant ½ star, if possible. After waiting 1½ hours for a table, we sat down. No beverages were available for my husband, so we ordered water. Fine. My husband ordered the turkey dinner. Also fine. I ordered a chicken salad wrap and fruit. The server said, "Fine," and off she went to put our orders in. When she brought our food, my husband's order was correct. Mine? A chicken salad sandwich on toast and French fries. I said, that isn't what I ordered. Her reply, "We don't have a chicken salad wrap and fruit on the menu." I said, "But you have wraps on the menu, and sides are listed right here, including fruit." She insisted that putting the chicken salad on a tortilla wasn't possible because that isn't listed on the menu, and fruit cannot be an option, even though it is listed with fruit as a side option. I told her to take the sandwich and fries back. Really? What is wrong with this restaurant? Obviously, service isn't part of management's plan. I've been to the Mabry Mill Restaurant twice: first time; last time. Don't waste YOUR time going there.Parking: The lot is inadequate.

Nice place to visit for photo opts and history lessons for humans. Working water wheel. Trail to walk around that area. Pretty in the fall, like right now! Restaurant busy, small.

The Mill is an awesome place for breakfast. The blueberry pancakes are my favorite along with the country ham. Service is very good, wish they were open all year. They probably will be closing soon, I think they are open from Easter thru the first of November.

We stopped in for breakfast. I had blueberry pancakes. There were lots of fresh blueberries in them and topped with whipped cream and more blueberries. We then went to the historic grist mill complex. Enjoyable.

We ate dinner here. The pot roast was really good. My husband had the chicken pot pie. Mabry Mill is an interesting place to visit to be able to see days gone by. The water wheel turns but not a working mill. There is a person in the mill to answer any questions you might have.

Great food! Our first time here. Had the chicken pot pie, best I've ever had! I can't wait to come back! Great little store with souvenirs, jewelry, clothes ECT right there in the restaurant. Prices are very reasonable!

Mabry Mill Restaurant less than inviting.Made a special trip to eat there. Got there at 4:45 and told there was at least a 30 minute wait ( with only 2 other people there waiting). Was told that they took their last seating at 5:30 because they close at 6:00. Ok. Was then told that there was no guarantee that we would be seated before 5:30 and if not we would have to go somewhere else to eat. While we were discussing whether to chance the wait or just leave we watched them turn away numerous other customers so we left. Afraid we would not be treated nicely if we stayed. This was on a Sunday afternoon in August. Can’t review food, atmosphere or anything else but after my first impression of the place by the attitude of the hostess we won’t be back to try
