Bonchon Mechanicsville

We rarely order here since the W Broad location closed. However, my route does sometimes bring me to this area. I will on occasion order takeout for my family.

An order of 30 wings is now $50. For whatever reason. My pickled radish was placed into a clear container with a crack on the bottom. By the time I reached home. The liquid had leaked out. It soaked the box with the soy garlic wings. And unfortunately, it saturated the bottom layer of my wings.

First time trying BonChon and it was amazing! We ordered it to go and the guy taking my order was very nice. 10/10, will have to make a day trip to come up here again sometime and eat inside.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I see others have been having an issue with orders being incorrect as well. I had a delivery order that came with no tamper proof protection and I was missing pieces of chicken from my meal. At first I thought it was the delivery driver that may have opened my food and eaten some but after calling the store, explaining my dilemma and seeing how unhelpful, rude, and condescending they were regarding the issue, it makes me wonder if the store itself wasn’t the one that either didn’t put the correct amount of chicken in the box in the first or simply allowed the meal to be tampered with. Do NOT order through their website. They will take you around in circles when you have an issue with your order. I tried to give them a chance to fix the issue but since they refuse I’ll be disputing with my bank and file a chargeback claim. Hoping enough people who have issues with them do this so it gets their merchant account shut down because they are robbing people. I paid a lot of money on food that I can’t even eat because it’s been tampered with. The service at this place sucks. I’ll never patronize this place again and I will ensure others don’t either.

Great flavor and crispy legs and wings. I also enjoyed the fried dumplings!

The wait staff was incredible! Super honest about menu changes and took something off my ticket due to the portion size not being up to the price (all by himself, I didn't ask). Food was pretty standard for bonchon, hit the spot. Would come back.

Food is good but they have gotten my order wrong 3 separate times with ordering carry out. So make sure you check your order before taking it home! Either items / sides were left out of the bag or order was wrong flavor when ordering 1/2 and 1/2 flavors, one time I ordered bone in Wings and got boneless. Great crispy chicken and soy garlic is my favorite sauce and that’s the sauce that I ordered and didn’t get. Those Parmesan fries are so good, but for the price you pay for their food I expect my order to be correct. We paid about $45 for two meals and side fries

Best fried chicken and fries! Food is always fantastic! Service is always friendly and fast. We've ordered take out before for chicken but realize it is the best hot and fresh, right in the restaurant. It's still good as takeout but you can't beat a nice crunch when it's hot! The menu is small but the food is delicious. We've tried just about everything here. They don't have many sauces, if you're a sauce lover or many GF options. However, still a great place to eat if you're in the area.

I was plenty surprised because this location was an actual dit down restaurant with waitress and a bar. Other locations I have been to were simply order at the counter. They even had a separate lunch menu.

Japchae and wings are delicious. Staff is quite friendly and eager to please.

the two staffs were very disrespectful, and they act like teenage kids that never learned manners.

A really bad experience with the waiter he doesn't care about the customers we are not going back again

I was hesitant at first but this is one of my highly rated restaurants to eat at. The food is amazing, just absolutely amazing. If you are in Mechanicsville stop here you will not be disappointed

Chicken katsu was good, David gave the best service ive seen in any restaurant.
