I go there every time I visit Mechanicsville! I get the BBQ platter. Delicious! You get a lot of food for only $5.99! I usually have leftovers for lunch the next day.

We as a group just got done with worship service. We came in to get a bite to eat because we were starving. We got our food at 920. At 930 one of the workers kept yelling our lobby closes at 930 yall have to get out. How rude. Can we just enjoy our food. Because we can't eat and drive. It's not like we were just sitting there after we were done with our food just chitchatting. Rude and disrespectful. I've been in the food industry for over 20 plus years and this was uncalled for. Not professional by a long shot. Food we ordered was messed up. And all the tables were very sticky. Not pleased at all.

I came in on 9/13 with my speech impaired son who can speak, but is very hard to understand from someone who isn't patient. There was a manager there by the name of Jappelle (I hope I spelled his name right) who took out order. When my son was ordering, Jappelle made and kept eye contact with him, spoke to him DIRECTLY without looking at me for help or answers, was very patient and understanding and provided service that I have never experienced anywhere with my son, EVER. He made sure to listen to understand, spoke to my son like any other customer, had a smile on his face and created a safe place and environment for my son that made tears come to my eyes. I just want to say thank you to that young man for treating my son as a normal human being, and for allowing my son to feel heard, understood and making him feel that he belonged. I will be back because of this and I hope I see you there!
