Kroger continues to have long self checks lines and only one or two lines serviced by a clerk. I was nearby yesterday and went in to get oranges. Two large oranges were 5.00. I put them in the basket. As I was going to get vegetables I saw a large pile of bagged oranges in a cart. A woman asked the clerk how much they were. He said 4.49 When I got there I asked him the price of the oranges and he said 4.49. I asked him why they were that price. He said Special Buy. I put the 2 oranges for 5.00 back and picked up a bag of 10 oranges the same size for 4.49. After standing in line, the cashier rung them up for 8.99. I told him they were 4.49 and the produce man just told me that. The cashier said he had to go get someone. A person. Came and told me they were on digital coupons. I repeated what the produce man said about them being a special buy for 4.49 and that I wanted them for that price. She asked if I had the Kroger app. I did but didn't know how to use it under pressure. She helped me. I apologized to the people behind me in line and thanked the cashier and the woman who helped me with the digital coupon. It is my opinion, the digital coupons makes a customer pay more. Most seniors do not know about a digital coupon nor do they know how to use it or look it up on their phone. The company know folk will probably pay whatever comes up which is the full price. There's some deception going on. Folk are being taken advantage of.

Just bought bread on this visit at the bakery. I wanted a nice crusty loaf to have with cheese but none was to be had unless I baked one myself. I settled for a nondescript soft loaf with very little flavor. Sigh..

This place is a disgrace. NO bakery items out at 10:00 AM. The shelves are consistently bare. The items they do stock are stale. I wish this place would be bulldozed and a high quality store move into the space, like a Wegmans. Hate!

We were drawn here because I was told that Kroger carried houseplants. They had 2 virtually dead plants on their shelf and the store manager, Cameron, refused to discount the plant. Im talking about these plant having dried up stalks and dead leaves actively fall off and he said, he can't mark them down until he's told to...what a useless store manager. Apparently this manager holds zero authority in the entirety of store that he manages if this is one that he can't do. Sounds like a load of bull to me. I put the other plant back that I was going to buy, as well as my groceries. Have a good day sir.

Misleading pricing!!! Had laundry detergent for 10.99 for a big one and it was 17.99 and I even told a cashier and she walked back with me and saw it as well and then she told me to go to customer service and they were rude and was like no and had a attitude and then walked back with me and said that someone had moved the tags and it was clear that it said 10.99 and they said it put in the wrong spot but there was like five others behind the one I got !!! Very disappointed

One million people in the store and only one line openI don't want to use self check out stop forcing me to use that stupid machine. That's screws up every time I scan an item and then an employee has to come over and fix it why. Don't you just pay him to ring the grocery bag them like you used to? I just did this with voice to text and I'm not fixing any Typos just like you won't fix your stupid check outlines.

I dont know why I keep trying to give the benefit of doubt, each time i go i am disgusted and disappointed. Geesh, even for a few items a disappointment, Go to the deli ask to please slice very thin, everything thick, My mom cannot chew it like that, only if it is thin. Even said please make sure it is thin not thick. I didnt want a steak. i wanted THIN slices. Well, gave to the teenagers next store and went to publix where they cut it like i asked. Never going to Kroger deli again.Last deli experience was with a man who had an attitude because I was waiting for the chicken to cook. Never bought chicken from there since then now no cold cuts either. Meat dept had old nasty food to sell! OMG, i would not even feed to my dog! No meat from there again now either. I give up. They do not exist to me anymore. Really disgraceful... shut it down!

Hours of operation are wrong, they need to be updated immediately when anything changes occur. People drive a long distance to get to your location thanking your store is open, only to find out that your store is not open. Now I have to sit and wait, very inconvenient

Pharmacy is awful. Never answer the phone. Drive thru is closed randomly. Every time I come I always have to remind them that they have my insurance on file so they should use it instead of trying to get me to pay without it. Needless to say, I've given them multiple chances and will now be taking my business elsewhere

The store looks like Walmart and I dislike Walmart, but that's the way Corporate wants to present it - a one stop shop. It's basic! Surprised this is what a Kroger would looks like in VA. Kroger needs to up their game A LOT. I don't like the commercial warehouse look. Kroger you've done a beautiful job with your West Coast stores and I hope you will up your game with you East Coast stores. Pay attention to your merchandising, marketing and product lines and be competitive. Please don't make it look cheap! I have a good friend who just moved to this area and frankly I'm not impressed with what she now has to work with. And neither are alot of others whose posts I have read too.

I like this smaller store and love the online order/pick-up option. Only one negative. The last two times I've gotten my groceries, the packing of items has really been bad. Soft items put in bags with canned goods. I don't like crumbled cookies or cracked eggs. Thinking I may have to start back doing in store shopping.

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY HERE. It's horrible. The service is horrible and the staff are rude and incompetent. I have never had as many issues with any other pharmacy and the staff regularly speak loudly about patients and their medications which is a blatant HIPPA violation. The grocery pick up is horrendous as well. Every week they don't get half of our groceries and when we go in and look ourselves almost everything they didn't get is in stock and we have to get it ourselves which defeats the purpose. It's pure laziness. The store itself is clean and nice and the cashiers are friendly. But the overall experience you get just ends up being unpleasant after a while. I will be driving 15-20 minutes out of my way to go to a different Kroger with better services.
