As a guy who prefers caffeine to get his day started, Rivers Edge Coffee Company is a great place to grab a treat of the artistic spin on coffee this place offers. The quality of the drinks is decent. The service is local quality. Great place to bring connection.

For our coworker meetup today, we went to river's edge as the next local stop to try. After looking at the menu online yesterday, I had an idea of what I wanted. I ended up getting an xl Kell's dirty chai and toasted bagel with cream cheese to start. That was honestly one of the best drinks I've had in a while! It was the right amount of spicy. The bagel had a good flavor, however it was a bit over toasted. The staff were very friendly and fast paced. It didn't take long at all to get drinks ready. There was a bar, a few tables, and two sofas for seating. By 11am or so, most people had cleared out, however when we first got there we were standing to hang out. As we were leaving, I got my family a Samoa latte and grabbed myself an Aztec mocha iced latte with almond milk. Both of those drinks were delicious. The Aztec mocha does have a kick to it and was good, but I don't think I could drink a lot at one time. There were people in the shop on laptops working, reading, or studying. It was a fairly quiet shop and a great place to go for coffee and wifi. They do have pastries available, though they're not posted on the site and the menu didn't have much information as to what was what, but everything looked delicious. I will definitely be by again soon for more!

Going to coffee shops is one of my favorite things to do. I came here to cowork and meet up with a friend on a Wednesday morning. There were a few tables and some couches. It's pretty spacious in here. I was greeted by a very kind barista. If you're into flavored lattes, this is the place for you. There were over 20 latte variations to pick from. The best part, the one I got wasn't too sweet. I ordered the samoa latte with soy (note: I love when coffee shops have soy and it was great this one did). It had the perfect amount of coconut in it. I also ordered a chocolate muffin. The best part is my bill was under $9!Their wifi is strong here and so is the community. There seemed to be a bunch of regulars visiting which I loved. I even ran into some old friends who come here almost every day. It's a wonderful coffee shop to get some work done and to meet up with people. It seems that they have changed their name, they previously went by Little Bean (which they still have up on the shop). They offer other beverages too. I loved my experience here. Good coffee and great prices are always a fantastic combo.

I’m back in Virginia visiting friends and stumbled across Rivers Edge Coffee Company. I couldn’t be more impressed!I was helped by two staff members, Larry and Joshua. There were so many options from your classic coffee shop favorites, to some fun unique flavors. When I asked what drinks they recommend, they were quick to ask what flavors I enjoyed to give me the best experience possible. I’m not really someone who enjoys sweet coffee, so when I ordered a Cinnamon Crunch half sweet - Larry made it perfectly! I want to try even more fun flavors this place has to offer :)I also ordered an everything bagel with just butter. The bagel was FANTASTIC!Overall, it’s the perfect place to grab a coffee before work, school, or going to see The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. LOVE IT!Dietary restrictions: They offer milk alternatives. Oat and Almond!

Was in the are doing laundry and needed a nice hot cup to get me started. A quick Google search led me right to their front door. I ordered Kells Dirty Chai and was 100% satisfied with what I received. The drink was actually hot and very flavorful., juat how I like it. The customer service was nice, and they wished me a good day upon my exit. Will definitely stop there again if I'm ever in town.Dietary restrictions: They had a wonderful Oat milk as an alternative.

My husband and I visited River’s Edge for the first time in a while after seeing their Facebook post celebrating their 4th birthday! We went with a mission: to sample the delicious Funfetti crumb cake and the indulgent Birthday Cake latte. We had been to River’s Edge a few years back, when they were still called Little Bean, and they are still at the same location. We noticed immediately that they had added chairs and tables for a more cozy environment. When I took my first soul-warming sip of the Birthday Cake latte, I felt a burst of childhood memories flood my senses as the classic yellow cake flavor paired up with the decadent fudge icing notes. This smooth, creamy latte had a thick foam layer on top to seal in the warmth and joyful birthday cake goodness. River’s Edge really brought me my own birthday party with this beverage! It was interesting to note that I was the first person to order this coffee drink hot instead of iced that afternoon, so don’t be shy when it comes to your preferred latte presentation - you’ll be pleased with either. My husband and I shared the Funfetti crumb cake, which was necessary since it was the last one there - not because we chose to. I would have been so grateful to have an entire slice to myself, and here’s why. This dense, moist, vanilla cake with fresh apple and sweet cinnamon flavors throughout, topped with a crispy cinnamon oat strudel (complete with luxurious brown sugar), was packed with playful rainbow sprinkles and drizzled with a vanilla icing. This Funfetti crumb cake melted in our mouths and each bite begged us to come back for another. It was truly a fresh baked good and we enjoyed every morsel. We are looking forward to a return trip soon, to see what other flavors they have come up with!Parking: Lots of small shops with parking out front

Great prices, great drinks, great service! Very happy to have found this little coffee shop. Creative concoctions that you won't find at most places too.
