I ordered take-out, quesabirria and shrimp ceviche. The food was good, the service was good also. I'm a southern California native, where I've had some of the best Mexican food, so for me this restaurant received 4-stars. I will be back with friends and family.

Ordered take out which items were missing when I got home. They said they reimbursed me the generous tip I left since clearly they didn't check my order. Haven't checked about that yet. Food was bland. Who orders fajitas without tortillas or cheese?

After hearing good reviews my family decided to try it for the first time. When we were seated they brought us a basket of chips, salsa and cheese dip which I thought was unusual but a nice surprise. We ordered our food and enjoyed chips salsa and cheese dip. After a while the waiter came by said they had made a mistake the cheese dip was for another table. By this point we had eaten half of it. The waiter asked if we wanted to keep it. I said no we didn't order it and they took the half eaten cheese dip away. I couldn't believe it! It also took us about 25 minutes to get the food that we ordered. The food was good but I will not be returning.

We went for the first time of what still looks like the old Rodeo restaurant on a Friday night and they were not staffed to handle full capacity....to spite the servers going as fast as they could service was at best very slow. The food although good and in good portion did not come out together, so one had to watch and wait while the other ate. The big surprise came in the form of a surcharge added to the bill for not paying with cash (we used a debit card). With 5 Mex restaurants in Mechanicsville and 7 more in nearby eastern Henrico to choose from adding a surcharge along with poor service doesn't seem like the smartest of business decisions and will surely have us going to the competition who can beat them on both.

First time getting meal from here. I had read many good reviews about this place. We had our food delivered and I'm sure it would have been better at the restaurant. My husband had the Fajita tropical. He thought it was good but not fantastic. I had the Chimichanga with chicken. I asked for my flour tortilla to be fried but it was not. By the time it got to me it was just sort of mushy. The chicken filling was tasty though. The beans and rice were seasoned but just were not my favorite. They probably were seasoned to be more authentic than I am used to getting! The toppings of lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and the extra added guacamole were on the scant side. I added more sour cream of my own at home. Overall it was a decent meal just not as wonderful as we had hoped but was good enough to eat my leftovers for lunch. I'm sure we will try it again and order something else and maybe then we will see what everyone is raving about!
