Bell Greek Hanover - More Than Greek

Great food no matter the location--i have been a long time fan of the bellgrade location and am glad that I stopped in here! Loved starting the meal with the stuffed cucumber boats and u can never go wrong with the gyro (I love their Taziki sauce so I get extra)!! Salad was a hit and got a gyro bowl for lunch tomorrow!!

I believe our server was named Allison, she was very attentive, quick, and very friendly. Bell Greek is lucky to have her. My husband and I and our two kids enjoy coming in during Gyro Night. The whole restaurant is quick and tasty and a easy bite when you just don’t feel like cooking. Definitely recommend to Hanover residents.

Today was my third time coming in and my last. The food does not taste Greek to me in any way from the sauce to the flavor of meet. The string beans disrespected the real authentic food. Don't sell yourself as authentic greek, Mediterranean at best. I gave it a good try but three strikes your out. One of the waitresses definitely knew the business and was training but she did 75% of the work while they watched her from the cash register porch instead of making them do the work and learn. I had high hopes of bringing friends into eat. I also was given my check without asking if I wanted anything else. I got some dessert and it did not taste anything like the Greek festival dishes I always enjoy.

Service is awful for delivery orders, especially from the owner and ladies in the front. You will not be able to pick up unless you show them your personal cellphone. There are better, ethical ways to hand off orders.

There is one young man that has worked there recently that I never had an issue with when picking up, but I haven't seen him in awhile.

Food here is excellent! Service is terrible!! There is one young man who works very hard. He is good at his job. But that rude older lady has got to go. She's always playing on her phone or staring into space, never helping customers. I've never gotten my order here without issues. Always something wrong or missing or I am waiting around forever. Let me be clear, the food is great! That's why I will still order. And that young man deserves a raise. He works enough for himself and the rude woman. He would probably be even better at his job if he did not have to compensate for her. Worth his weight in gold. Hire some of his friends, good lord. This would be a GREAT date night spot if the service was better.

I had the lamb gyro, firstly it was delicious, secondly they over stuffed it with meat. Money well spent with huge portions of food. Forgot to take a pic, I was so hungry on my lunch break.

I ordered the Roast Beef Melt with Au Jus dipping sauce. The sauce was too salty so they brought me some warm water to help dilute it. It was a bit better. The roast beef also seemed very salty.

My bill came to 15.11 and I was with 4 other ladies. We all were given a small tray to put our payment on. I paid the waitress 20.11 as to not get a bunch of loose change back. Well she misplaced the 11 cents and told me I didn’t give it to her, when I fact I did. She wanted to argue with me saying I did not. Next time I give cash payment, I will take a photo of how much I send back with the waitress. I’m sure with the 5 trays of payments, it got lost. But don’t tell a customer that they didn’t give you the change, when I did.

I won’t be returning.
