Third Base Grill- Hanover

Don’t recommend ordering delivery here. Took so long to prepare food that DoorDash actually cancelled the service. Had to go in person to get food that I had already paid and tipped for delivery. DoorDash says the restaurant is responsible for refund and Third Base Grill said DoorDash is responsible. Long story short I paid delivery fee and tip for cold food and an inconvenient experience….

Hanover Third Base Grill is really bad compared to the New Kent location.

The waitress brought a can of Guinness—no glass.

Waitress brought out the wings on a tray with silverware and just 2 napkins—no plates. Not sure what she thought we were going to do with a fork, knife and spoon with an order of wings. We had to eat the wings on the two napkins they brought us.

The celery was so old, it was discolored almost brown and it was so soft it bended and would not snap. We told her to take them off the table and had to explain to her what celery is supposed to look like.

The place is about half the size inside as New Kent and they had a band that was obnoxiously loud. So we asked to sit out side, which is the designated smoking area.

So you had a choice of hearing damage or smelling smoke while eating.

The wings also seemed smaller than the ones we’ve always gotten at the New Kent location.

Never again. We’ll stick to the New Kent location, which has always been a 5-star experience.

The service is always wonderful and they have the juiciest burgers and the best club sandwich that would make Scooby & Shaggy proud!

Crab dip???Delicious. I wish they had the little crusty bread to dip in it.My mom enjoys the beer battered cod and onion rings. Chicken wings were very juicy and well cooked however I did not care for the taste of their Sweet Thai Chili sauce. That flavor is my favorite but something about theirs just wasn't right to me. I will try another one of their flavors. Once I find the right flavor, those wings will be top tier???The young lady at the bar is always very nice?Overall, I will be back. Want to try some other things that looked quite interesting ?

We love this place! Good food with a ton of options. Our favorite waitress, Ashley, is awesome! Great personality and provides service that is above and beyond. Amanda, the bartender, provides great mixed drinks with a smile! The entire staff is wonderful.

Went in for the 1st time. Sunday evening. They have booths, tables, & bar chairs. Lots of sports TVs. I liked the vibe. Our server, Laci, was the bomb. Attention to detail. She's a teacher. Soo much respect.The food was great! French dip w/ homemade horse radish. Onion rings and a nice salad. A group of 14 ppl came in and were seated, welcomed, and served. Going back. Enjoy!
