BEWARE don't go! Wish I would have read the negative reviews before coming here. Here visiting from Wisconsin and have previously gone to better wineries in the area. This woman in the picture poured me a sample before purchasing a bottle. She poured the wrong wine and then gave it to my friend to drink. Beware of this place is plagued with incompetent staff. 'Don' the tasting room manager was there rang me up when Kristin told us 'two samples per group otherwise everyone would be having free samples all day' even though we only had one minus the wine sample she accidentally poured which isn't what we requested. Don said nothing when I said other wineries have other policies and don't make it seem/insinuate that I'm cheap when I've spent over one hundred dollars here. Go to one of the friendlier wineries in wine country where they don't berate/degrade you for wanting a sample before purchasing bottles of wine. Incompetent staff do better. Refused to give me tap water have to buy bottled water. Wow do they want people getting drunk and driving. Their parking lot needs to be paved/graveled the mud ruined my brand new cole haan shoes. Dirty chairs. Accused me of lying and this is an honest review. WILL NEVER GO AGAIN.
The wine was so so. The server was really snotty.
Horrid service. I can’t believe how rude they were!
In a vineyard with space to roam free,
Where views stretch as far as you see,
There's room for a crowd,
Yet no shoving allowed—
The wait, though, could cut your esprit.
Self-guided, you savor each flight,
A fair price that feels just right.
But the wine's a bit flat,
Not much magic in that,
Leaving taste buds less thrilled than the sight.
Beautiful winery with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, wine options, and food options. We were bummed that although they have many outdoor fireplaces none of them could be lit due to it being too windy. The wine itself was mediocre—not the best but for the price, decent. Staff were very kind & welcoming. Very dog friendly—they even have a stand with dog treats and water bowls. Will definitely be back!
Great atmosphere, good prices, friendly service!!
5 Stars all around. Amazing Wine, Breathtaking Views, and the service was unmatched. Such a welcoming atmosphere. Out of all the wineries in the area, Cana is definitely the best!
It's a nice winery to visit, which is an hour's drive from Fairfax, Virginia. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, and the view from upstairs is breathtaking, overlooking the vineyard. There is a wine-tasting option and the ability to buy wines by the bottle, which are reasonably priced. It has a menu full of food options that pair well with the wine as well.
We had our wedding at Cana Vineyards, not once, but twice! We had a beautiful small ceremony in the gazebo last year, followed by our ceremony and wedding this year in the vines and pavilion areas. We chose Cana for its gorgeous view of the Bull Run mountains, flexible indoor / outdoor reception space, and of course the delicious wines. We served the 2023 Albariño, 2023 Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Cabernet Franc, and the 2021 Norton, which are some of our favorites from spending time at Cana prior to our wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect, down to the cozy fire in the fireplace, and the Cana team worked with our other vendors to keep things running smoothly. Overall, we couldn't recommend Cana Vineyards more both as a weekend hangout and as a venue for special occasions.
Great scenery

Nice outdoor space with a food truck. The staff wasn’t as friendly but I enjoyed my afternoon hanging out with my puppy.
A very pleasant first visit. Also, the first all-Virginia wine tasting we've had where we enjoyed EVERY wine on offer. Very active location with plenty of seating and varied food on offer. Attractive setting and a generous wine club to join. We will certainly be back.
Gorgeous venue! I was here for a birthday party and we brought our own food. The view was beautiful and there were plenty of places to sit and hang out!
Excellent vineyard to enjoy a fine wine(s).
My college friends and I visited the Cana Winery. We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. We did a wine tasting and John was our guide. He was wonderful and knowledgeable.
