This is for the restaurant review. Had a very lovely evening with 4 course meal here. Such a cozy and warm atmosphere. The staff were all friendly, professional, and attentive. The food was delicious from my starter cocktail all the way to dessert. Can’t wait to come back and try the pub next time.

Food was excellent. Building was beautiful. Would like an option to tour the building historical value. David our waiter was wonderful with such attentiveness and excellent disposition for hospitality.
Agr6eoth previous reviews. This pla6needs to change who they have at tecept6and do better with customer service. When we arrived the lady at the little podium was super snobby and had trouble follow basic conversation.
We told her we had questions about the menu and food, and she kept trying to rush us to sit. There was noone even waiting. From there it didn't get better. This place is simply over hyped and not worth it.

If you’re considering Red Fox as a wedding venue… do it. We’ve been coming to Red Fox for years and when we got engaged we immediately knew where we wanted to get married. Red Fox does everything right, down to every detail. They’re professional, flexible, and so welcoming. The venue is gorgeous and there are so many fun ways to configure your ceremony and reception. The setting is amazing any time of year, the gardens are so dreamy as a backdrop. As a Bride I loved being able to get ready next to the ceremony gardens and watch guests take their seats. Ashley and Anna are amazing and so fun, you can’t go wrong booking at the Red Fox.

The tavern is beautiful. The food is insanely delicious. The service is wonderful. It’s a high price point, especially for the multi-course meals, but very worth it in my opinion! We’ve been twice and will definitely return.
WOW, if you want to feel invisible, visit the Red Fox Inn. We were seated immediately, but no waiter. After about 10 minutes, the manager came over and offered us drinks. They could not make a simple slightly dirty martini. Finally received the correct drink 20 minutes after sitting down. The waiter then apologized for being absent. The food was definitely good but not great. When we received our check, we were charged for the four course meal instead of the two course. After bringing this to the manager’s attention, she comped us for our two drinks, pretty unbelievable. I own several businesses with a combined 4.9 google rating. It disappoints me to need to write this review at all. If I ran my business this way, I’d be out of business. I invite the owner to reach out to me for a more thorough explanation.

Very poor customer service. We book a one stay and ended up having to take my son to emergency room and he was admitted to the hospital. Samual the manager would not waive the cancellation policy, even for a family emergency. This is a family run business as well. I wish customer service was a priority over revenue for places like this.

Disappointing! Food was mediocre with a high price! Ate here many years ago and it was fabulous . This time it was not! Everything was tasteless or looked like it was slapped together!
Your staff was wonderful to bad your food did not match to them or the price!

What a treat to dine at the Red Fox Tavern. We wanted to thank our gracious hosts for on trip to DC, and it was suggested that we drive to Middleburg, and eat at the Red Fox. Now let me start out by saying that this is not for the faint of heart from a price standpoint…otherwise put, this is not budget fare. But what you receive for said price is an experience, both from a service, and meal perspective, that you will never forget. The skill of the kitchen is front and Center. And the service is beyond compare. Thank you Red Fox for ending our trip on such a high note.

Hubby and I stayed in Middleburg to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and my birthday. We secured evening dinner reservations on the Open Table App.
We enjoyed an exquisite four-course meal, which included Virginia Piedmont Ribeye, Spiced Pear and Butternut Salad, Braised Quail Arancini, Roasted Fig & Maitake

The upstairs room to the left as you enter was a perfect location for a quiet business dinner. The food was superb and service discreet but attentive. Highly recommend.

Red fox inn.. more like red roof inn. Our evening started at the bar with anticipation for the craft cocktails. Unfortunately, they were overpriced simplistic and syrupy drinks that were akin to what I'd get at an airport bar. Not to mention that one drink was overflowing and we werent provided with napkins. Our four course fine dining, fixed menu meal that was close to $200 a person was uninspired, simplistic and room temperature at the best of times. Save your money and go to a capital grill if basic american food is your thing.
Then there's the room at this luxury inn. For over 400 a night I expect luxurious comfort. What I got was a very used bed with a significant indent so my partner and I were constantly rolling into each other at the center of the bed. Very little sleep was had and not for fun reasons. The temperature control in the room was unchangeable - stuck at a mystical 68 which was sweltering for the first 4 hours of the night then cold for the rest. The "bathtub" that was advertised as a fearure of the room was the standard fitted tub and shower you'd find in any apartment.
Don't get me started on breakfast. Call me old fashioned but I do enjoy a nice breakfast at a table with service. And when I stay at a b&b, I look forward to the breakfast component which is usually a feature of the inn. Not here! The only option on offer was a boxed breakfast in bed... even the waitress didn't know where to put the tray when she came in. The soggy previously frozen sandwiches were a step below fast food.
All in all, while the red fox inn may once have been the seat of luxury and fine dinning, today you're more likely to get a step up from a courtyard marriot with a worse night's sleep and a lighter wallet.
