The Red Fox Inn & Tavern

Our party of five had the game and seafood menu with wine pairing. Excellent! Also excellent service from our server Maria. Have to book early for a table at the weekends.

We enjoyed delicious food and were well taken care of by our server, Luke! We highly recommend this restaurant and it is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion.

Overall, a very nice evening. The waitstaff were very accommodating and well informed about the menu. Pacing of the meal was slow. Food was good, but key components are repeated across plates and courses.

We had dinner here and it was a lesson in perfection. We had 5 course meals that were delicious with great display. Cindy did a great job taking care of us.

The food was pretty good but overhyped. The wine pairing didn't add much to the meal and wasn't worth it in my opinion. While we didn't have bad service, our server wasn't forthcoming about the history of the building or tavern. We learned about it from eavesdropping on conversations with other servers and their tables. Our server didn't seem to want to chat. The espresso old fashioned was lovely. Ambiance was great.

Food is one of the last experiences that you can pay more for and odds are you will find a better experience. Outside of MiniBar in DC, this was the best service I've ever had. We decided to do the 4 course meal and had some cocktails. Bar service before getting to our table was fantastic. The dinner experience left quite a bit to be desired. We decided that choosing our own entrees off the more flexible bar menus and going a little more low key would probably better suit this restaurant. To end up spending what we did, and never feel like we found the wow factor left us wanting. Cannot say enough about the incredible service though.

I had a waiter name Patrick that was just wonderful. I went by myself and it was very cozy and I especially loved the scallops.

Customer service was excellent. Loved the history of the place and it is the perfect location for exploring Middleburg.

Oh red fox inn. I really do like this place! I have stayed here many times and a few things they could improve upon, but will focus on one:

- the breakfast! It’s is tasteless. No condiments come with a sandwich that you’d think would be delicious but has no flavor. Fat free yogurt for the parfait. Before covid, they would do breakfast for guests for free in a nice sit down fashion. Can we bring that back? Or, if not, re-do breakfast program with new items. This sandwich has been the mainstay for years. Give salt & pepper too please, ketchup & mayo? We also got the “casserole” (I’m not sure if I’d call it that). It was just okay. Again, some new options and some condiments with delivery if they are going to stick with that.

This restaurants vaults to the op of my list of favorite restaurants. The overall experience was fantastic and I was so comfortable in there historic setting. I really enjoyed the food and presentation. It was a wonderful evening and I will be going again.

We started with the Champagne Toast and opted for the two-course tasting menu. I ordered the Wedge Salad and Duck Breast. My husband ordered the Burrata Salad and Rack of Lamb. We ended with cappuccino. Everything we ordered was simply delicious. Compliments to the chef and management. Background music was lovely. Staff was friendly and attentive as well. It was a perfect anniversary celebration.

Perfect location for the wedding we were attending at Goodstone Inn. Loved the history of the property, quaint bar, and walking to several shops and restaurants. No elevator, but the staff helped us. A bit pricey, but a wonderful experience. Box breakfast delivered to the room was yummy.

A cute place. Absolutely loved the garden it was like I was back in France. The room was basic no complaints except the price. Yikes. Oh and the breakfast sandwich was amazing.
