Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the beer, but I did have an experience with a friendly staff member. My car broke down and I managed to make it here to wait for the tow truck. I had my 6 month old and 2 year old boys with me and it was a really hot day. Although I did manage to get the boys picked up so they didn't have to wait in the sun for the tow with me, a member of the staff having seen them earlier stopped by to make sure we were OK. She then unlocked the building for me so I could wait inside and made sure I had some cold water to cool off. I can't thank her enough for her kindness and will return (when the car is fixed) to try the beer.

The beer was delicious. Word to the owner: Don’t pour out of your locker room smelling taproom. It is a total turn-off. The Chili Pepper Red was awesome. But as a beer connoisseur if a patron sees beer for sale that is made elsewhere and your establishment smells like a dog’s ass that would throw up mega red flags. Owner should seek out Bar Rescue. Y’all have great promise but must fix the aesthetics.

We went there last night for their so called date night. We ordered their steak dinner and it was disappointing. The steak was basically a steak-um, fatty and chewy and paper thin. The baked potato was the size of a golf ball. I recommend skipping the steak option.

Great atmosphere, great people, and good beer. Microbrews are all herb based, so some really interesting flavors.

We came on a Sunday after the Herb Festival and my husband really enjoyed the beer, although sad he couldn’t have any to go as they didn’t have cans of the IPA and couldn’t do growlers. Service was good. Food was ok

Parked overnight with our RV through Harvest Hosts. Enjoyed a few brews over conversation with fellow travelers. Tim, the bartender, was friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend BRB.

Big screen TV showing the weather channel. 6 people here on Friday night. Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll try again during warm weather?

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Backroom Brewery last weekend. We planned our event from out of state and couldn't be happier with the party Billie & her team threw for us. The food was wonderful, the venue beautiful and rustic, and the staff so kind and efficient. Thank you so much for helping us to have the time of our lives! We will never forget it.

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at the Barn at Backroom Brewery and couldn’t be happier with the entire event and planning leading up.
The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Great communication and flawless execution.
The space is incredibly beautiful, clean and accessible.
Food, beer and wine selection was outstanding. The brewery itself is originally an herb farm. So most of the feature brews include hops and herbs grown right there on the farm. The chili pepper red ale is my favorite by far!
Overall an amazing experience for our big day. Our guests are still talking about the impressive venue and services provided.
10/10.

Arrived mid-afternoon and found it easy to set up our Fifth wheel. Once settled we strolled into the brewery where David welcomed us. The beer choices were great and we enjoyed our burgers for dinner. It was our first Harvest Host experience and it did not disappoint.

This review is FOR A WEDDING I recently attended.

First of all, the people who run Backroom Brewery seemed very nice. The drinks were wonderful, especially the cider. The food was very good for a brewery. And the venue was very pretty.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of logistical issues, and anyone looking here as a potential wedding venue should know about. The first issue was that there were two giant bushes right in the middle of the hill that had never been trimmed down. There was a lovely stone walking path that went straight between the bushes that no one could utilize for the wedding party because those giant bushes were way too big. One of the bushes was either dead or dormant, while the other still had green leaves. It was a real eyesore, and the bride and groom could do nothing about it.

Another strange thing was that on the day of the wedding, it was up to the bride and groom’s friends and family (or wedding coordinator, if you’re looking enough to have one) to set up all of the chairs for the ceremony. So over 120 folding chairs that had to be set up in the hot sun before the ceremony took place.

Also during the reception, even though there were 120 guests, They ran out of forks and only had 24 cake plates. So people were eating wedding cake out of Styrofoam cups. Lots of the tables that still had dinner on them were cleared last minute.

As a guest, it just felt to me that this venue wasn’t organized or up to the task to provide an exceptional experience for a wedding.
