The rooms, though lacking some modern amenities, are clean, spacious, and comfortable, many featuring genuine antiques or period furniture that add to the historic atmosphere. Guests have praised the Wayside for its exceptional value, with the establishment maintaining a high rating on travel sites despite its reasonable prices. The restaurant's in-house food and drinks are very nice, and visitors often enjoy exploring the history, including the well and various relics displayed throughout the inn. The host Brittany and her staff go out of their way to show guests the history and details of the building and grounds. The place is unreal, with architecture, furniture, and decor from another century, creating a very historic and extremely atmospheric experience.
