disappointed in the food. bread course was terrible. the foccacia bread was stale and looked under cooked. the deviled egg was fried with strong curry flavor. no deviled egg taste at all. main course didn't improve. pork chop way over cooked . the server said it would be prepared medium. not even close. and the size of the pork chop was small for the price paid. the risotto was sticky not creamy as it should have been. scallops on top were prepared good. desert chocolate cake was good but the quinoa sprinkled on top added nothing to this dish. I wish I could have found something good to say other than nice servers. we have had much better meals at same price and less expensive places.

I arrived at 7:45 with a reservation and got seated immediately. To even get our order the service was very slow.. I understand it was a Saturday night but the restaurant itself is small. The crab cakes were really good and I would say the appetizers were the best part of the meal. They are a must get. The shrimp pasta was good but the portion sizes were very small.. For $30 I expect more noodles.. I finished it in 5 bites and the shrimp was lukewarm. The stuffed bell pepper was probably the worst dish here, the fried onions/jalapeños were soggy.. and the polenta lacked flavor. It tasted like oatmeal. The slow service on top of the mediocre food and portion sizes was disappointing. For the prices they set I expect bigger plates. (Nevertheless, the highlights of the meal were still very bright.)

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and we were wowed by the food! This was one of the best meals we have had in years! The scallops were perfectly prepared and the filet mignon was very flavorful. The tres leches carrot cake was as amazing as it sounds. Our new favorite restaurant in Virginia! Highly recommended!

Serving sizes were super small and expensive with limited choices. A couple of the food options didn't taste good to us, others may like though. Staff friendly. The restaurant offered the appetizers on 3 tier serving plates which was fun.

Had high expectations based on what we had heard. Started off well - server seemed very nice and bread plate was delicious! Charcuterie board had great cheeses but meats were a little disappointing (prosciutto was very good, but the other two meats seemed more like grocery store salami and mortadella than higher end cured meats). Entrees were generally underwhelming. Scallops and risotto were ok but seemed to be just missing something. Filet mignon was overcooked for 2 of us; we ordered medium rare and received medium well. Server didn’t come back to check on us for quite a while after we got our entrees, so I had given up and eaten more than half of my overcooked filet by time she came back; when she asked how it was I mentioned it was overcooked and she did not seem react. I left about 1/3 of the filet uneaten on the plate, which I almost never do. For the price we paid I expected more from both food and service, and at least an offer to recook the steak or discount it. But I would go back for the bread plate - that was really good!

An elegant, intimate restaurant with outstanding food. There are only 14 tables, so reservations are recommended. It is somewhat hidden in a strip shopping center, but it’s worth finding. Everything served is made in-house, including all baked goods and dressings. I would have given it more stars, but our service was off. We ordered an appetizer that never arrived, but it was on our bill. We asked for salt & pepper and were inexplicably given two salt shakers. Personnel are friendly but need some training. They do have ample parking.

A totally unexpected and wonderful experience for a rare date night! We were welcomed (the hostess took our coats at the door and was so friendly), the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and perfect. The tiramisu for dessert was the best we’d ever had and, come to find out, our waitress made it! We will definitely be back. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Squash and pumpkin risotto

Our experience at 21. Spoons was one of the best we had ever had. The food was absolutely delicious. Couldn’t find anything wrong with anything I do have to say the short ribs, and the sugar of the day were outstanding.

Exceptional food and atmosphere. Super friendly staff. The only issue we had was our food arrived in stages for the 6 of us but the team understood this and more than made up for it. I would come back in a heartbeat - great overall experience!!
