Ordered an italian sub, a cheesesteak, and a turkey. The cheesesteak was the best with the other 2 being just terrible. The fries are the worst I've had...ever!

I came here to pick up a doordash order. I believe it was the owner who was rude. He was helping someone out and it seemed as if the guy was done ordering so I asked him if the order on the counter was for the lady i was picking up. He then started getting aggressive with me telling me to wait my turn. I told him he was being very rude. And he told me to sit down and wait which i proceeded to do. I made a comment about leaving a one star review which must have pushed him over the edge because he started yelling at me and getting in my face. I am not the kind of guy to sit around and take it, so of course i argued back when he started yelling at me.

Always consistent food, that's affordable and tastes great. We love Candela's and try to stop by when we're in the area.

We ordered a large cheese pizza and a chicken piccata for delivery. The plastic bag the food arrived in was full of liquid. It had clearly leaked out of the cheap packaging for the chicken piccata. There was no sauce on this dish and the top of the cheap packaging was soaked and flimsy. The sauce had seeped into the salad box making the salad inedible. The bread provided was literally a hogie roll and nothing more. The pizza was very good. We have been here in person many times and know the food is great. It was very disappointing to have it arrive in such bad condition. We won’t be ordering delivery from here again. We will only dine in if we want to return.

They serve good quality food that the restaurant and its staff are proud of, and they stand behind it. Fair prices as well, considering their cost.
Leadership on duty tonight (Sunday, 3/30) was outstanding—attentive, responsive, intelligently navigated conversations with customers, and a major asset. They could confidently run service at any top-tier establishment!
I expect a comment on this

The restaurant lost my online order. Said they must have given the pizza to someone else. The person working the counter was unapologetic and rude. When I asked for a refund (the alternative was waiting 20+ minutes for another pizza). I was reluctantly given a cash refund but I realize the woman at the register shorted me 20%. When I questioned her she said “that was the tip and it’s not my problem.”
Save your money and go to the Robious location (the one I intended to order from).

The food is good, but I was missing an item via Uber Eats delivery. The food is very expensive and I paid $20 with service fees and tips to get my meal delivered only to find out one of the three items I ordered was missing. Really poor experience.

This restaurant has very bad customer service. From the moment you arrive, they are not willing to answer your questions. They leave you waiting to sit at a table. Then, when they take your order, they are not friendly and take too long to do so. The owner or manager, I don't know who he is, is the worst of all. He has an arrogant and reprehensible attitude. He responds in a rude, impolite manner and raises his voice when you mention anything to him about the poor service. I do not recommend this place at all due to the rudeness of both the owner and his employees.

Terrible place. I went to pick up an Uber Eats order and the employee at the front desk looked me in the face and didn't respond when I told him I was coming to pick up an order for a client. After that, the very arrogant owner of the place told me that all his employees were not obliged to answer me and that the boy should not answer me that because what he was is a cook, he raised his voice at me and gave me the order and then told me to leave the place... when I left the restaurant he came out and kept shouting things at me telling me not to return to that place because I told them that they were rude and he was rude, which is totally true because a customer is not treated like that. such a pedantic, haughty and rude way when I was polite and respectful. I do not recommend this place at all since both its employees and its owners lack absolute kindness and education.

If I could give no stars I would I had previously left a positive review based on the food solely. Now I’m reviewing more than the food I’m reviewing the owner Sal. Someone I know did work at a drop of a hat while Sal was out of town for months saving him money in spoiled food and a closed down business by doing service call repair on freezers, electrical and hvac due to not maintaining equipment and safe food temperatures. Upon trying to collect payment I was told I could not talk yelled at for 5 minutes In front of his own patrons and employees that he didn’t care would not pay and for anyone who would like to view the recording he knew I was taking leave a comment I’ll be glad to share. I do not agree a grown adult and business owner should carry themself in such a way not pulling me into an office and consider hearing me
Out attempting to collect a $750 debt owed instead is using a bunch of excuses as to why he shouldn’t have to pay a bill due. We are a small local owned business who did a favor in a pinch with expectation the amount due would be settled when Sal returned from being out of state for months and not an excuse of the death of a fellow friend would be used as an excuse why not to pay.

Food came out staggered even though we ordered to eat together. Pizza crust had burnt edges that owner claims it’s the way New Yorkers eat it. We prefer Angelo’s down the street-better food and timely service.

I’m not sure what’s going on at Candelas, but it was very disappointing last night. I went in alone, ordering a beer and a chicken cheesesteak. When the server repeated the order, she said “cheesesteak,” and I corrected her, telling her I’m allergic to beef (cursed alpha gal syndrome, from a tick bite,) and I was ordering the chicken cheesesteak from the menu. The beer came quickly, the food, not so much, but the waitress eventually returned, apologizing for the wait. I thanked her, but I wasn’t in a rush, so no big deal. When my sandwich eventually came, I took a big bite, only then realizing this was beef not chicken. The beef I’d already made clear I was allergic to. She returned to the kitchen, and eventually - no rush - the chicken cheesesteak came (and it was delicious,) but while my now empty beer stood lonely by my plate; she never came back until she brought the check. I’ve enjoyed eating here for years, and I’ve never had a bad experience, but this most certainly was. It was a great disappointment. I don’t know if the owner Sal was there, but his wife was, and I could see she was putting out fires left and right. I won’t rule out returning, but for a modestly busy Thursday night, this was unacceptable. Thankfully, the upcoming allergic reaction was nothing more than a bad case of hives around midnight, and I had Benadryl. But needless to say, this is not acceptable.

We have been customers of this place for many years and often recommend the pizza to our friends. But today, I was very disappointed with how our order was handled.
We ordered two pizzas, including a BBQ Chicken pizza with extra ham and pineapple. When my husband picked up the order, he was told they forgot to add the extra toppings. He waited for it to be fixed, but when we got home, we found the extra toppings were just thrown on top of the pizza.
It’s upsetting to see such a lack of care and quality. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others in the future.

Caveat emptor - how much would you expect to pay for a catering tray of lasagna? From the menu around $60. Maybe a little more based on ‘from’. What the menu should say is $60 is the half tray price. Just picked up two trays for $240. Learn from my mistake. Never again.
