Capital Ale House

Capital Ale House is the perfect place to casually eat anytime. We were here for a birthday but we kept that secret from the staff. They had no idea. In spite of that, we still had excellent service from our waiter, PMB. What did the initials stand for? I guess we'll never know. The food we ordered was also excellent. It was a tough dilemma to choose between fish and chips and chicken tenders. But I made a last second decision to get the margherita pizza. It was a good choice. I even had enough left for leftovers. My tablemates got burgers for Monday burger night that were very cheap yet still delicious as ever. The drinks were amazing as well. The Shirley temple tasted more like a cherry limeade but lucky for cap ale, I like cherry limeade more. I never used the bathroom but it's probably safe to say it was good. All in all, Capital Ale House provides an excellent dining experience.

Jess and Jason at the bar are the best. Jess made awesome recommendations on beer selection. That were awesome. Even mention recommendation that got my attention to come back. I will return to this location just because of Jess

Tired shabby place. Doors, tables, trim, and bathroom all dinged up, gouged, and sticky. Sixteen! page menu was grubby and sticky too. Narrow spaces btn tables and booths allowed us to get bumped frequently.

My deconstructed Cobb salad was yucky with old avocado, hard chicken and wrong dressing. The flatbread pizza sauce tasted like ketchup with thick rounds of hard unmelted mozzarella cheese.

They need to close it down for a month and renovate the place and redo menu and retrain the staff.

Had time to kill so stopped in for a beer and burger. The beer selection is outstanding and the menu is as well. Forger my credit card called the next day and they were holding it for me. Great staff

The food and beverages are #1 at Capital Ale Midlothian! I only deducted one star because the service can be hit or miss, AND even with a great server the wait time for your food can be long. One of the best places to sample beers, ciders, and wines made right here in Virginia. Atmosphere is casual casual and cozy but can be very loud at times. Mondays are Burger Nights with great special pricing. Every time I have eaten with my friends and family there, we all end up sampling everyone's dishes. Servers are usually attentive to topping off beverages and checking in with you. Management is always friendly if they come by the table.

The pretzels are really yummy, and the beer cheese makes them even better! The drinks are great, and Megan was on top of things on a busy night!

Jess is the best bartender ever and literally makes the world’s best dirty martini, if I didn’t have a career and family to tend to I would be here every night just to drink her dirty martinis 🍸
