The Diner at Coal Mine Coffee & Sweets

The owners are so lovely and service was a 10/10. They have a great kids play area. However I was super disappointed by their breakfast. I ordered the pancake breakfast and it came with frozen pancakes and sausage (the eggs were fresh). I don't know that I've ever been served pancakes that I for sure knew were not made fresh so it was a bit shocking. They were flat and hard as a rock. My son got a blueberry muffin and it was very obviously from Sam's or Costco. I get they have to get their food from somewhere but I went there to support a local business, not a wholesale grocery club. I would come back and maybe just get a coffee next time but would love to be able to go and get a full, freshly made breakfast in the future.

Let me start by saying I love supporting mom & pop shops. Owner is awesome! Fun guy, very personable & friendly.
The food was not great, all brought in, this needs to change to be more successful. My $18 burger & fries was sub par & tiny portion. We saw they had a seasonal apple dessert, figured we'd try it...but after a quick search we found the exact same dessert sold at Kroger. The ice cream came right out a plastic cup with the ridges all around (literally the kind with the trash wooden spoon). My biggest critique is that nothing served had been 100% made in house.
Wishing them the best if they can make some major dining changes.

A little on the pricey side but food was so good, its like I cooked it myself. I was very surprised and happy about that. Usually going out to eat isn't as good as home-cooked meals. Staff was very friendly and even though its not sanitary in my opinion, they have a sitting area with a bunch of children's books and toys for little ones. They even printed out holiday themed menus for children with coloring page on the back. We plan on coming here again.

I tried the biscuits & gravy and Honey cinnamon latte- would recommend both. I look forward to trying more of the menu. I like the location and everyone was very friendly.

Come check out this nice little diner! Wonderful cooked-to-order house made food. My son and I stopped in for lunch today. I had two eggs, bacon, fresh cut potatoes, and sourdough toast. He had two eggs, sausage, and chocolate chip pancakes. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the place was nice and well maintained. Will definitely be back for another meal soon!

Great Cozy Family atmosphere. Staff is Amazing and Super Friendly. I prefer My food seasoned and my bacon crispy. My Granddaughters Love the Kids Zone. We will be back Again to eat. We asked for a s’mores cake for my husband’s birthday and boy did they deliver! It was delicious! There was even a mixture of graham and chocolate inside the marshmallow filling! The cake itself was rich and moist. Yum! Highly suggest this sweet restaurant.

Wanted to try a new spot. Delivery was great but for the price it was average. At best it’s a $5 sandwich not worth $9. And the coffee bland but it could be because I’m a Starbucks girl (if you drink Dunkin’s coffee you like there’s). Service was good and I love the inviting decor…said come stay for a while it was like being at home.
