We were quickly seated and the service was on point. The food was amazing, and pricing was affordable. Definitely, our favorite Mexican restaurant since moving here

I eat at El Paso regularly and love everything about this place. I go many miles out of the way to dine here. The food is all delicious and the staff takes such good care of you. They make a mean Margarita too.

Great service. Margarita flight was enough for 2…good & had a kick. Food was delish. One of if not, the best on this side of the river.

I do not know if it is real, but it is normal for me to order birria tacos, I have to buy 8 different tacos to be able to order birria?

The best food in all of RVA. I’ve been coming to El Paso for 30 years. The food is incredible (best cheese dip around) and The drinks are top-notch too! I love that it’s family owned.

We go to probably 4 different Mexican restaurants depending on where we are in the city. The food is mostly the same at all of them. What sets El Paso apart from the others is their consistency with their top shelf Margaritas. If you pay $20 for a Jumbo Casamigos Reposado Margarita at any of our other sports, you could get an amazing Marg, or you could get carbonated orange juice with a splash of tequila... depending on the bartender. Not at El Paso, every single time we've ordered a premium Marg here, it's been perfect and delicious! We love to pop in for a quick date for Margs, chips and salsa.

Went the other day for the first time in years .. it’s so rundown. I asked for alittle extra cheese on my nachos and they charged me $3 for a side of cheese sauce and when I brought it up that I didn’t order a side of cheese they said it was because I added cheese ???? If I knew I was going to be charged $3 extra I wouldn’t have even added it. Worst nachos I had with about 10 chips total and bad service. Just my experience though.

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. We visit nearly weekly to the point that they all know us there. Always pleasant and accommodating. Very good food.
I come here once a week and it's always been great...until tonight. They sst us at a dirty table that wobbles horribly. I asked for napkins to wipe the table, never got them. The chips are stale. Our food took forever (a burrito and nachos shouldn't take 30 plus minutes). And two female workers stood at the hostess stand pointing at us and whispering for several minutes before one of them finally asked if anyone was waiting on us. I guess this restaurant cannot handle Cinco de mayo. Eat anywhere else, this was horrible.
This El Paso on Rittenhouse is the ONLY restaurant I go to if I want to eat out. Mainly because the food is always made very neatly and it is never cold. It tastes fresh and if a person is allergic to something they can ask for it to be eliminated & they don't make a fuss about it. I only take out on Friday's b/c I like to enjoy my food at home ( i normally cook at home daily) but when I want to treat me & my family, this is the only place I trust.
How is this place still in business? Terrible customer service, rude waitress. Gave me an attitude because I requested a substitution. A simple no would do. The food is awful, 1am and have been 🤮 after having dinner there. Don’t waste your money
