Worst Ribs I have ever eaten, barbeque was bland no flavor at all. Burnt Ends were ok. Not Great but on. Waitress was Great but food not so much. Even Nachos weren't good

This place is an RVA institution and great to go for all your barbecue, food and drink needs.

The food is quite good, not great, but good. Service can be slow due to what I believe to be understaffing. The beers are well done. The business as a whole could be cleaner. Just the same, my wife and I do return about once a month. There are too many good places in the Richmond area for food, beer, and entertainment to be restricted to just 1 location.

Vegetable beef soup has next to no beef in it. The vegetables are corn and crunchy cabbage. The butter we asked for is not real butter. Atmosphere is very casual so it is a good place to take children. Also have pay rocking horses and a special kiddy entrance to the restaurant. Our waitress was beyond nice!

This place was great. Best BBQ I've had in along time. Cornbread was perfect. Beer was amazing, different but not too trendy or fruity. Service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive.

Don't know if we were served yesterday bbq or not. Brisket was like beef jerky. I just fed it to my dog. Beef ribs was dry and burnt. Pork bbq was dry. Just an awful experience.

My wife threw me a surprise Birthday party at Extra Billie’s. We all had a great time! The food and service were top notch. We had about 30 people there and everyone was so impressed with the food and service. Everyone’s meal was hot and fresh. I loved the brisket, sausage and the hush puppies were a great treat! A big thank you again for Lisa and the Pit Master at Extra Billie’s for a wonderful birthday party!!! Can’t wait to celebrate again!

It was all around okay. The good / average: The craft beer is not bad. There were 7 different brews, each a different style, so we got a flight of 4 each and sampled them all. They were pretty good, an IPA, Amber / Irish Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Imperial Stout, and a Marzen. Focused, not experimental, and not bad. The food was average. Burnt Ends platter, the meat could have been warmer, it appeared to be heated up first, and then waited for the rest of the order. Baby Back Ribs (dry rub) were hot (temp), but slightly dried out, and could have used more rub flavouring. The sides (baked beans, potatoe salad, and coleslaw) were all really good. What could be improved: the service was slow, even for a Wednesday night. Not many people dining, but only 2 wait staff. Waited to be seated, waited to get our beers, but the food arrived quickly. Could use more attention, one waitress was on top of her tables, the other was not as much. The atmosphere as a whole is a little odd, left some to be desired. It is not "dirty," but not exactly clean. There is a weird smell that I can only describe as being from an older building that has not been cleaned well or often. You would expect a BBQ joint to smell like smoked meat, fire... like a BBQ joint, but the smell inside was not pleasant. Would suggest a top to bottom cleaning of everything, and possibly new flooring, because that carpet is probably the source of odor. Tables and benches / chairs need a thorough cleaning with detergent. This could be an excellent place with a remodel, updates, and training... like a 'Bar Rescue' episode. Might go back and give it another try sometime.

Stopped to grab a quick bite on October 8th 2024. The food was pretty good, really enjoyed the burnt ends and I enjoyed the homemade chips. Beef rib was tastey but I wish it had more meat on it. I was in the bar area and it was ok. The bartender/server was nice, attentive and offered some good recommendations. There is outdoor seating but I didn't sit there. Overall, I recommend this place. Food and service was pretty good and the atmosphere was ok.
