The food and service was great. The chef, Liz even brought us another pumpkin pancake because SHE didn’t like how the first one came out, lol. It was definitely a pleasant surprise as both pancakes were equally delicious!

Excellent customer Service and delicious food. Let me tell you this, when you guys hired Dee you hired a gem 💎! She is beyond incredible! Her service was beyond anything i have seen in years. She lifted ours spirits, our heart and our overall feeling of people in general. For a while I thought this place needed a lot of training in every aspect, but i can tell you now that you guys are headed in the right direction. She should head your training department and train every employee that walk through your door. I work in HR and I would do anything that get her to come work with our company! Keep up the good work and Dee you are indeed a blessing. 🙌 🙏

My Saturday ended up great thanks to First Watch. I admit, before breakfast, the morning had been off to a rough start and I was a bit sad as we stayed in the area after dropping my daughter off at VCU the day before for freshman move in day.
We decided to go to this location because it was close to where we stayed overnight in the area, but in general, I try to find First Watch to dine at when I'm on travel because they don't have a location close to where I reside. The closest is over 2 hours away!
While at this location this morning our server was Gio and he was amazing...very professional, knew his stuff and quick with placing our order and bringing it!
He was in tune with our needs and quickly fulfilled our requests without hesitation or issue. Hopefully, my dayghter and I will get the chance to brunch at First Watch (budget permitting) I'd love for Gio to be our server then!

This location has gone downhill. Not sure if it is the whole chain, but just not as good as it used to be. I got a cranberry orange muffin, for almost $4, and it was dry and seemed old. My husband's omelet was just okay, if there were mushrooms in it, he never found one. Juice drinks are now $10...id pay that if i believed it was worth it, but the way things are going at this location, not worth the risk.

It's all stars when the questions are asked about First Watch. I enjoyed upscale options, food and service. Our server was amazingly flexible amongst her tables and very engaging. Richmond deserves more restaurants that take pride in what they offer.

We’ve always loved First Watch and we’re so excited to move close to one. But after several visits we’ve decided we won’t be coming to this location anymore. The food is never really up to expectations, which is frustrating given its basic breakfast food. We typically order the trifecta, avocado toast, or some other simple breakfast menu item, and every time the food has come with either dry eggs w/ egg shells, soggy bacon (even when specified for crispy), incredibly overcooked “basted” eggs (basically hard boiled), weird tasting avocado, and just overall not great quality. It’s already a bit expensive (most everywhere is nowadays) and then the most basic foods aren’t done correctly. This is very unfortunate because we love this chain and the servers have always been nice and welcoming but we just can’t keep coming to this location to waste money on bad food.

I enjoy the concept and menu at First Watch, but my recent visit fell a bit short of expectations. The Works Omelet was served lukewarm, which took away from the flavor and enjoyment. The grits also seemed a bit overcooked and dry, as if they had been sitting for a while.
