We went to Gino’s to dine in and were the only customers there except for the inebriated man who was drinking with the employees at the front counter. That should have been a sign. We were told to order up front and then get a seat. The cook brought us our food which was incorrect as we had ordered provolone cheese not american cheese. My son ate his. As soon as I took one bite and it was American cheese, I couldn’t eat it. No one ever came to check on us - we waited and waited while we listened to the front of the house play quarters at the counter. We finally went to the counter and I carried my cheesesteak with one bite taken out of it. I told the man that my order was wrong and he was clearly irritated and said that it was not - I told him that I was positive that it was American cheese and he walked away to ask the woman who made them. She said that it was provolone so he came back and argued with me telling me I was wrong. After that he returned to the woman once again. This time, she said it was American, but I had ordered it with American and I had ordered my son’s with Provolone. I told them that that’s not what I ordered and even if that was the case, my son’s was incorrect as well. The man was visibly annoyed and finally said he could make me another (no refund) so we had to wait for that one and get it to go. I then paid and when I left wondered how 2 subs costing 7.99 each and one soda added up to $25.10.

Needless to say we will never return. I had eaten numerous times at Gino’s years ago and it was great! It has really changed, sadly. There was a third very nice employee who apologized for what happened after the man walked away. I commented that Gino’s wasn’t how it used to be and he said It has changed a lot.

This place has gone down hill quite a bit. Do not dine in - take your business elsewhere. Food is mediocre at best and service is horrible. Over 40 minutes for a pizza and was brought one cup of water. I did talk to the owner and he was pleasant and apologized but that level of service is unacceptable. I hope this business finds a way to improve.

Staff is baked! Can't take a simple phone order. Here's your tip, show up to work, sober and ready to do the job.

I’ve been here twice and will NOT be going back. The staff all seem to be under the influence of something. Both times I entered the front of house person mumbled something about being there for pick up I said no I’d like to order for there. The owner or manager was wondering around with some unsavory looking people and they all seemed to be slurring. The second occurrence we didn’t even bother to order because there was a seemingly drunken patron leaning up against the counter. The owner, patron, and front of house worker all seemed to be slurring and out of it as if they were on something. The pizza was fine nothing special but the entire restaurant seems weird. Both times it was virtually empty inside.

We moved here from the SW corner of CT (Greater NYC area) in 2016 and I can't believe we took so long to find this place. My wife and I ordered 2 subs to go and they were delicious! I have not had bread this good since we moved here. (New England and NYC transplants know exactly what I mean) The cheesesteak was awesome. -1 star for the service but it will not stop us from returning, and often. I also noticed the native Virginians were having a real tough time with the authentic NYC Italian accents. (I am guessing Brooklyn?) While waiting on my order I couldn't help but think the NYC mob uses this restaurant to launder Chesterfield operational funds.

The owner has some problems. We were waiting for our food with our 3 young kids. Wife takes kids into restroom and on the way back to patio, he gruffly says "You're welcome". She said, "oh, we are customers" to which he replied gruffly, "You're welcome." The reviews here and Yelp are bad. We live in Woodlake which surrounds this restaurant; last time we'll be here.

The front person was friendly and only reason why it is getting 2 stars. The food was nothing special and inside was a disappointment. Not returning. Will stay with Sergio's for my go to.

Gino’s is always on point! Whether its pizza, sandwiches, or pasta, it’s always great. Last time I got dinner I went to pick it up and Johnnie (the owner) was making our subs himself. Home run every time!
